Özet
Bu çalışmada modern özne felsefelerinin temel kavramlarıdan biri olan özbilinç kavramı tarihsel olarak incelenmiştir. Bu anlamda sırasıyla Descartes, Kant, Fichte ve Hegel'in özbilinç anlayışları birbirleri ile ilişki içinde değerlendirilmiş, kavramın söz konusu filozoflar aracılığı ile geçirdiği dönüşüm tarihsel ve toplumsal bir bağlamda ele alınmıştır. Özbilinç kavramı modern öznenin felsefi olarak temellendirilmesinde öne çıkan tartışmanın merkez noktası olmasının yanı sıra, modern insanın süreç içinde geçirdiği tarihsel ve toplumsal dönüşümün takip edilebileceği bir zemini de sunmaktadır. Başka bir ifade ile Descartes felsefesinde bir töz olarak düşünülen öznenin Hegel düşüncesinde çatışma ve emek üzerinden kendini gerçekleştirilen özneye dönüşümü, aynı zamanda modernizmin ve dolayısıyla kapitalizmin toplumsal olanı nasıl dönüştürdüğü üzerine tutarlı bir soyutlama zemini de sağlamaktadır.

This thesis is an historical examination on self-conciousness as the main concept of the modern subjective philosophies. In this manner, understanding of the selfconciousness in the philosophies of Descartes, Kant, Fichte and Hegel revealed reciprocatively and historically. The dicsussion on concept self-conciousness is substantial not only for the philosophical grounding for the subject but also for pursuing the historical and social alteration of modern man. That is to say, transformation from the subject as a substance, as on Descartes, to realisation of the subject over conflict and labour, as on Hegel, provides an alternative abstraction ground for analyzing how modernity and capitalism transformed sociality.
