Özet
Amaç: Araştırma zihinsel engelli çocuğu olan ebeveynlerin psikolojik durumları ile bakım yükünün değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Materyal ve Metot: Araştırma Rize il merkezinde bulunan, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı iki özel eğitim merkezinde Mart 2014 – Şubat 2015 tarihleri arasında tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır. Evrenden örneklem seçimine gidilmemiş, toplam 101 ebeveynle çalışılmıştır. Veriler; araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan Soru Formu, KSE ve ZBYÖ ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde; yüzdelik dağılımlar, ortalama, Kruskal-Wallis varyans analizi, bağımsız gruplarda t testi ve korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Ebeveynlerin KSE'den aldıkları toplam puan ortalamalarına göre psikolojik durumlarının hafif düzeyde (37.15±28.01), ZBYÖ'den aldıkları toplam puan ortalamalarına göre bakım yüklerinin hafif orta düzeyde (27.32±13.62) olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çocuğun engelli olma nedeni, ebeveynin anne ya da baba olma durumu, mesleği, öğrenim durumu ve eşiyle akrabalık durumu ebeveynlerin psikolojik durumunu etkilerken, çocuğun engelli duruma geldiği yaş, engelli olma nedeni, eğitime başlama yaşı ve ebeveynlerin çocuğa yeterli zaman ayırabilme durumu ise algılanan bakım yükü düzeyini etkilemiştir. Psikolojik durum ile bakım yükü arasındaki ilişki değerlendirildiğinde; bakım yükü düzeyi ile 'depresyon', 'anksiyete', 'olumsuz benlik', 'somatizasyon', 'hostilite' ve toplam puan arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur. Aim: The study was carried out in order to evaluate the psychological conditions and care burden of the parents with a mentally retarded child. Material and Method: The study was done as descriptive between the dates of March 2014 and February 2015 in two special education centers in the city centrum of Rize depending on Ministry of National Education. The study was conducted with totally 101 parents by not making the sampling choosing from the universe. The data were collected with Zarit Care Burden Scale, Short Symptom Inventory and Question Form prepared by the researcher. Percentage distributions, mean, Kruskal-Wallis variant analysis, t-test for independent groups and correlation analysis were used in the data evaluation. Results: It was determined that the parents' psychological conditions were at the light level (37.15±28.01) according to the total score average which they took from Short Symptom Inventory and their care burden was at the light medium level (27.32±13.62) according to the total score which the took from Zarit Care Burden Scale, Whereas the reason for the child's being mentally retarded, the situation of the parent's being mother or father, his or her occupation his or her education status and the degree of his or her relation ship with his or her spouse affected the parents' psychological conditions; the age when the child became mentally retarded, the reason for his or her being mentally retarded, the age when he or she began the education and the situation of the parents' allocation enough time for their child affected the perceived care burden.When the relation between psychological condition and care burden was evaluated, a meaningful positive relation was statistically found among the care burden level, 'depression', 'negative self-respect', 'somatization', 'hostality', and the total score.
