Özet (Çeviri)

In accordance with the Renewable energy directive, the UK is currently working towards meeting its target of 15% energy consumption from renewable sources by 2020. Pursuant of this, there is increased pressure on technology development to improve the generation capacity of renewable energy power so that it becomes more and more reliable and effective. Solar power remains one of the best ways in which to generate energy in a sustainable way. This report investigates the technical, environmental and financial feasibility of the use of a Photovoltaic-Thermal (PV/T) collector plant at the NHS Darent Valley Hospital located in the South-east part of England, in Kent. An investigation of the PV/T technology was completed and the technology was tested under experimental test conditions. The solar irradiance and the temperature of the cells play the most essential role affecting the PV/T efficiency. The main role of the PV/T collector is removing heat from the cells using water which is heated with waste heat after PV cells module. Due to the fact that the water is heating and the solar cells are cooling, the total efficiency of the collector increases. The way in which the technology works can be observed using software at different levels observing such elements as the annual performance, monthly performance and daily performance. A complete analysis of the emission reduction, financial performance of the PV/T project of the hospital were carried out.The thesis will illustrate the way in which PV/T installation adds substantial benefits to the Darent Valley hospital given the potential of the reduction of Carbon emissions by around 12.7% and a payback period of 5.8 years.
