Özet
İnsanın, her şeyin varlık nedeni olan noeta'ya doğrudan temas etmesinin bir yolu yoktur. Anamnesis ediminde bulunmak, duyuların (beden) yardımıyla hareket eden dolaylı bir yol olmakla birlikte, insanın, noeta'ya ulaşmasının mümkün tek yoludur. Platon'un felsefe anlayışı, özünde eros'a, (erotike) görüsel tecrübeye (pathetike) ve aletheia'ya (eidos'ların aniden önümüzde açılması) dayalı bir nitelik taşıdığı için, her meselede fiilen anamnesis ediminde bulunmuş olmayı esas almaktadır. Buna uygun olarak, ruhun ölümsüz olduğunu fark etmede fiilen anamnesis ediminde bulunmanın doğrudan bir rolü vardır; buna karşın, anamnesis kuramı ya da anamnesis kanıtının, ancak dolaylı bir rolü olduğundan söz edilebilir.

This thesis investigates the theory of recollection and its relation to the problem of the immortality of the soul in the dialogues of Plato. For this purpose, we use a certain method to analyse three of the dialogues, namely Meno, Phaedo and Phaedrus. In the first part of the thesis, we dealed with the theory of recollection as a whole. We try to understand the basic assumption of the theory of recollection. In the second part of the thesis, we dealed with the problem of immortality of the soul. We focused on the proof of the immortality and try to understand the basic premisses of them. In the third part of the thesis we try to relate these two themes with each other. In this part, we investigate the role of the recollection activity in the proof of the immortality of the soul.
