Özet
Teknoloji ve bilgi çağının ışığında derin bir değişiklik döneminden geçmekte olan 'mekân' kavramı, tarih boyunca fiziksel bir olgudan sanal ve soyut bir kavrama dönüşmeye başlamıştır. Teknolojinin yoğun etkisi altında kalınmışbu çağda, insanoğlu teknolojiye dayalı mekânı üretirken, mekânın tanımınıve gerçeklik algısını da değiştirmektedir. Teknolojinin yaygın kullanımı ile değişime uğrayan mekân, sinema perspektifinden bakılarak analiz edildiği zaman geçirdiği evrim ve insan ile etkileşimi gözler önüne serilmektedir. İ nsanlar teknolojik gelişim karşısında endişelenerek, eleştirel bir yaklaşımla endişelerinin dışavurumu olan distopik gelecekler tasarlamışlardır. Sinema ve mimarlığın varoluşuna ilişkin ortak unsur olan 'mekân' kavramının ele alındığıbu çalışmanın amacı, distopik bilimkurgu sineması aracılığı ile mekân tasarımına ve mimarlığa ait öngörülerin oluşturulmasıdır. Çalışmada irdelenen filmler yoluyla mekân tasarımlarında özellikle teknolojik etkilerin hangi sorunlar ve açmazlara neden olabileceği sorularına cevap aranmıştır. Mimari öngörülerin oluşturulabilmesi amacıyla incelenen filmler 'kent', 'konut', 'sosyalleşme mekânları' ve 'alışveriş mekânları'başlıkları altında ele alınmıştır. Distopik türde yer alan filmlerden örneklem olarak 12 film üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu filmler, Metropolis, Blade Runner, The Fifth Element, Interstellar, Brazil, Gattaca, Oblivion, Black Mirror-Fifteen Million Merits, The Island, Minority Report, Wall E ve Ghost in the Shell olarak belirlenmiştir.

The concept of 'space' has been changing in the age of technology and knowledge. The term became an abstract and virtual concept along history. People altered the definition of space and the perception of reality as they produced technologically supported spaces. It is possible to observe the evolution of space and its interactions with people through the analysis of cinematic perspective. The dominant approach in the cinematic analysis of science fiction films holds a pessimistic view. People designed dystopian futures with a critical approach as a consequence of their anxieties about technological advances. The concept of 'space' is the common feature in the existence of cinema and architecture. In this study, it is aimed to foresee the design of spaces and architecture through dystopian science fiction films. The possible impacts of technological advances in the design of spaces are questioned by use of selected films. The films selected for the formation of architectural foresight are examined under the subtitles of 'city', 'residence', 'socializing spaces' and 'shopping spaces'. Twelve movies from the dystopian genre constitute the focus of the study, which are Metropolis, Blade Runner, The Fifth Element, Interstellar, Brazil, Gattaca, Oblivion, Black Mirror-Fifteen Million Merits, The Island, Minority Report, Wall E and Ghost in the Shell.
