Özet
Araştırmamızın amacı Chickering ve Gamson tarafından 1987 yılında ortaya atılan yedi ilkenin akademik başarıya etkisini tespit etmektir. Araştırmamızda ön test son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmamızın çalışma grubunu Oltu Mehmet Akif Ersoy Ortaokulu 6. sınıf öğrencilerinden 17+19 olmak üzere toplam 36 kişi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada Chickering ve Gamson (1987) tarafından geliştirilen yedi ilke; öğrenci-fakülte etkileşimi, öğrenciler arası işbirliği, aktif öğrenme, anlık geri bildirimler, zamanın etkili kullanımı, üst düzey beklentileri karşılama ve farklı yetenek ve öğrenme stillerine karşı saygılı olma ölçüt olarak belirlenmiş ve bu ilkelerin öğrenme ortamında ne kadar uygulanabilir olduğu üzerinde durulmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak hazırlamış olduğumuz akademik başarı testiyle birlikte yedi ilkenin yer aldığı ve her ilkenin altında 10 maddenin bulunduğu 70 maddelik ölçek kullanılmıştır. Veriler öğrencilerin ölçeğe ve akademik başarı testine vermiş oldukları cevaplar doğrultusunda bağımsız örneklem t testi ve eşleştirilmiş örneklem t testleri yapılarak analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular neticesinde yedi ilkenin akademik başarıyı artırdığı görülmüştür. İkinci ilke olan öğrenciler arası işbirliği ilkesi uygulama ortamında en fazla var olan ilke olmuştur

The aim of our research is determine the impact of the seven principles which are put forward by Chickering and Gamson in 1987 to academic achievement. In our study, with pre-test post-test control groups, quasi-experimental design was used. From 6th grade students of Oltu Mehmet Akif Ersoy middle school a total of 36 people including 17+19 constitute the sample of our research. In this research seven principles developed by Chickering and Gamson (1987); student-faculty interaction, cooperation among students, active learning, instant feedback, effective use of time, meet the top-level expectation sand being respectful of different abilities and learning styles are determined as criteria and applicability of these principles in learning environment is focused on. With academic achievement test that we prepared as a data collection tool, a 70-point scale was used in which the seven principles take place and each principle resides 10 items under itself. In accordance with the answers of students to academic achievement test and scale, independent sample T-test and paired sample T-tests were put into practice and analyzed. As a result of the findings it has been shown that the seven principles increase the achievement. The principle of cooperation among students which is these cond principle has been the mos common policy in the application environment.
