Özet
21. yüzyılda dünyada meydana gelen değişimler her alanda olduğu gibi eğitim alanında da bazı değişikler olmasını gerekli kılmaktadır. Eğitim sisteminin dinamik bir yapıda olması, yeni bilgilerin hayatımıza girmesi, eğitimde çeşitli arayışları da beraberinde getirmektedir. Bu nedenle birçok ders de olduğu gibi Sosyal Bilgiler dersi öğretiminde de farklı yöntemler ele alınmaktadır. Bu yöntemlerden biri de etkinlik temelli öğretimdir. Yapılan bu araştırmanın amacı Sosyal Bilgiler dersinde etkinlikle öğretimin, öğrenci üzerindeki tutumu ve öğrencilerin akademik başarısına etkisinin ortaya konulmasıdır. Yapılan bu araştırmada yarı deneysel yöntem kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada deney grubu ve kontrol gruplarına, deney öncesi ve deney sonrası 20 sorudan oluşan başarı testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2015-2016 eğitim- öğretim yılında Kayseri ili Melikgazi ilçesine bağlı 75. Yıl İstanbul Menkul Kıymetler Borsası Ortaokulunda öğrenim gören 6. Sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem 6/A (deney grubu) ve 6/B (kontrol grubu) sınıflarındaki toplam 48 öğrenciden meydana gelmektedir. Araştırmada çoktan seçmeli başarı testi ve tutum ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Kullanılan başarı testi daha önce uygulanmamış olup, geçerliliği ve güvenirliliği araştırılıp test edilmiştir. Uygulama sürecinde deney grubu ve kontrol grubu olmak üzere iki grup bulunmaktadır. Etkinlik öncesi her iki gruba da ön test uygulanarak daha sonra sadece deney grubuna etkinlik uygulanmıştır. Sürecin sonunda iki gruba da son test uygulanıp başarılar ve akademik tutumlar karşılaştırılmıştır. Toplanan veriler, betimsel analizde standart sapma, yüzde, frekans, aritmetik ortalama, T testi, tekrarlı ölçüm analizleri yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak etkinlik uygulanan deney grubunda başarı ve tutum olarak anlamlı farklar ortaya çıkmıştır.

Changes, which happened in the 21 st. Century's World, are making necessary to get innovations in education system as well as in every other fields. Due to dynamic structure of educational system and continuous incomings of new knowledges to our lives, brings with various quests in education. Therefore different teaching methods are handling in Social Studies as well as in most of the lessons. One of the method of these is Activity Based Teaching method. The purpose of this research is to bring up effectiveness of activity based teaching in social studies to students' attitudes against courses and their academic success. Quasi-experimental method is used in this research. In the research, before and after experiment, achievement tests were given to experimental group and control group, which are consists from 20 questions.In the educational season of 2015-2016 year the groups of research are the 6th class students of 75.Yıl İstanbul Menkul Kıymetler Borsası Secondary School, which is belong Kayseri City and Melikgazi District. Sample; 6-A class is experimental group and 6-B class is control group are totally consist from 48 students. In the research multiple choice achievement test and attitude scale are used. Current achievement test is not used before and its' validity and reliability is investigated and tested. In the time of practice there were two groups which are consists from experimental group and control group. Before activity pretest are applied to two group and after these test activity made for only to experimental group. At the end of process, last test is applied to the both group and after last test achievements and academic attitudes compared. All collected data, standard deviation in descriptive analysis, percentage, frequency, arithmetic average, T test, recurring measurement are used. As a consequence significantly differences appeared on Experimental group as achievements and attitudes.
