Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, dijital öyküleme metodunun, ortaokul fen bilimleri dersinde öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına, bilimsel süreç becerilerine ve derse yönelik tutumlarına olan etkisinin incelenmesidir. Çalışmanın örneklemini, 2015-2016 eğitim- öğretim yılında Antalya İli Alanya ilçesinde bulunan bir devlet ortaokulunda öğrenim gören 30 deney ve 30 kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 60 ortaokul 6. Sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Dünyamız, Ay ve Yaşam Kaynağımız Güneş Başarı Testi ile 36 sorudan oluşan çoktan seçmeli 'Bilimsel Süreç Beceri Testi' ve derse yönelik tutumlara olan etkisinin belirlenmesi adına çalışma kapsamında Fen Dersine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca deney grubu öğrencileri ile yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat yapılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında hazırlanan dijital öykülerin değerlendirilmesinde Dijital Öykülerle Fen Eğitimi Geribildirim Soruları 1- 2 formları kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada ön test- son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel verilerinin analizinde SPSS programı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin işlenmesinde tek yönlü ANCOVA, ve nitel verilerin analizinde betimsel analizden yararlanılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonucunda, ortaokul fen bilimleri dersinde dijital öyküleme metodunun öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını olumlu yönde etkilediği, öğrencilerin bilimsel süreç becerilerini olumlu yönde etkilediği, öğrencilerin derse yönelik olumlu tutum geliştirmesinde etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca yapılan betimsel istatistik sonuçlarına göre öğrencilerin fen bilimleri dersi ve dijital öyküleme metodu hakkında olumlu görüş geliştirdikleri görülmüştür.

This study aims to investigate the effect of digital storytelling method on elementary school students' academic successes, scientific process skills, and attitudes towards the course in the context of science course. The sample consists of 60 students from 6. class of a state schoool at Alanya, Antalya. 30 of the sample is the control group and the other 30 is the experimental group. In the study, these data collection tools are used: Our World, Moon and The Source of Our Life: Sun Success Test, Scientific Process Skill Test which consists of 36 multiple choice questions and The scale of attitude towards the science course which measures the attitudes of the students. Moreover, a semi-structured interview is performed with the experimental group. While the digital storytellings are evaluated, The Questions of Science Education Feedback with Digital Storytelling 1-2 forms are used. In this study, quasiexperimental pretest-posttest control group design was used. In the quantitative analysis, SPSS is used as the analytical tool, one-way ANCOVA used as methods. In the qualitative analysis, descriptive analysis is used. The results of the study implies that digital storytelling has a positive effect on the academic success of the elementary schoool students at science course. Additionally, it has a positive effect on scientific process skills and positive attitudes towards the science course. Also, it is found that students have developed positive opinions about the science course and the digital storytelling method according to the descriptive statistics results.
