with the snowballing GBV cases, development and development Programs have been hampered and this has kept the trends of poverty circles rising high and higher among rural households. In this regard, as the socio-economic costs of GBV become harder to be dealt with, the marginal propensity to save and invest too comes to a standstill. Despite of the above impacts of GBV on the socio-economic welfare had not been researched especially in Kiboga district. the study therefore employed majorly qualitative research methods and interviedwed and 50 respondents to draw conclusions on the impacts of GBV and revealed fueling high school drop out rates, hindrance to the agricultural activities, high costs of nursing GBV victims, family instabilities AND neglect of responsibilities as the major impacts which bring economic development to a standstill A lot has beeen done to stop the scoyurge however, the policies put in place are generally favourable to have the violebnce among coupoles reduced howeverthe side by side of application is still in adquate The project will help policy makers to come up with better policies to eradicate GBV fromt he area/
