Genç ve yaşlı akkaraman koyunlarında sirkumvallat, fungiform papillalar ile tad tomurcuklarının dağılımları üzerinde ışık mikroskobik bir çalışma

Özet
Bu araştırmada memelilerde yaşlılıkla, tad duyusu azalması arasındaki ilişkinin kantitatif olarak tespit edilmesi amaçlandı. Bunun için genç (6-9 ay), yaşlı (5-6 yaş) erkek ve dişi Akkaraman koyun dillerinde sirkumvallat, fungiform papillalarla, tad tomurcuklarının morfolojilerini, topoğrafılerini, sayılarını; dil uzunluğu ve dil alanı genişliğini kapsayan parametreler karşılaştırmalı olarak ışık mikroskobu düzeyinde çalışıldı. Yaşlı hayvanlarda, gençlere göre sirkumvallat ve fungiform papilla yoğunluğunda; tad tomurcuğu sayılarında ve sirkumvallat papilla tad tomurcuğu çapları arasında fark bulunamadı. Ancak yaşlılardaki sirkumvallat, fungiform papilla çapı, fungiform papilla tad tomurcuğu çapı, dil uzunluğu ve dil alanı genişliği, gençlere göre farklı bulundu. Yaşlı hayvanlardaki gustatör papilla ve tad tomurcuğu sayısının gençlerden farklı olmadığı görüldü. Bu nedenle yaşlılıkta tad duyumu azalması ile papilla sayısı ve tad tomurcuğu sayısı azalması arasında bir ilişki kurulamayacağı sonucuna varıldı. The purpose of this study was to investigate quantitatively the relation between the loss of taste sense and the ageing in mammals. The parameters such as, morphology, topographic distributions and as well as the numbers of circumvallate, fungiform papillae and also their taste buds and the length and the suıface area ofthe tongues ofyoung (6-9 ınounth) and aged (5-6 years old), female and male Akkaraman sheep were studied comparatively. There wasn't any significant difference between the aged and the young animals in respect to the density and the bud numbers of circumvallate and fungiform papillae, and the diameters of the taste buds in circumvallate papillae. However, the diameters of circumvallate aııd fungiform papillae, the number ofthe taste buds in fungiform papillae, both the length and the tongue surface area of aged animals were statistically different from ones of the young animals and also taste buds diameters of circumvallate and fungiform papillae of aged aııimals were larger than the papillae of young aııimals. N o difference was observed between the numbers of gustatory papillae and taste buds of aged and young animals. It was concluded that there was not any relation between the loss oftaste sense and the loss of papillae and their taste buds.
