vm SUMMARY It is know that Turkish culture is very rich in folklore. A village named Böğrüdelik, near Cihanbeyli in Konya, was established where both folklore and dialect are characteristically different from those of villages around. The ancestors of people living in Böğrüdelik were emigrated from Uzbekistan to Siberia and then to Turkey. After the emigrations they settled down in Böğrüdelik in 1910. Böğrüdelik was proposed for this research because of different culture of people living in this village.The research started with a field study to establish folkloric works and to reach reference people. At the end of this prestudy it has been discovered that folk - songs are the most important ones among the works still alive in Böğrüdelik and therefore the research was concentrated on the folksongs. One of the villagers, Behçet Kılınç, was voluntarily interested in this research and gave invaluable support during field studies. The research and gave invaluable support during field studies. The research would be incomplete without using his accumulated knowledge about folk-songs. Furthermore many interviews were done with other reference people who were introduced by Behçet Kılınç. Collecting the masterials started after getting known very well by the reference people. This stage of the study was achieved by recording folk-songs on a taperecorder in authentic atmospheres. After a long collection period, the recorded folk-songs were deciphered and 88 of them are selected and included in the article.They are given in both authentic and Turkish versions. The songs are classified according to their themes as : love,exile,longing,daily life,replying,suffering from seperations because of death,game,passion,praise and satire, wish,child,work,müitary and ceremony.DC Pattern studies of the songs given in the article were done for different subjects. The importance of songs in tradition of singing is clarified.Besides some information about Böğrüdelik village and Tatar dialect are given. An authentic dictionary of the songs is prepared on the base of information given by the reference people,especially by Behcet Kıknç,and included.A wide bibliographical list can also be found. Some additional information about the reference people are given. The songs which have note photographs of both the district and the reference people are included in the appendices as the last part of the article.
