Özet
16. Yüzyılda Osmanlı Devleti'nde Nüfus Hareketleri isimli doktora tez çalışmasından amaç adı geçen devlette nüfus hareketlerinin hangi şartlar ve etkenler altında vuku bulduğunu tespit etmektir. Bunun yanı sıra nüfus hareketliliğinin niteliği ve yönü konusu tespit edilmeye gayret edildi. Aynı zamanda nasıl bir yönetim altında cereyan ettiği üzerinde duruldu. Çalışmanın ana kaynağını Osmanlı Devleti'nin birincil kaynağını oluşturan Mühimme Defterleri kayıtları oluşturdu. Bundan da 16.asır Mühimmeleri esas alındı. İkincil kaynaklarla desteklendi. Bu çalışma; Giriş, dört bölüm, sonuç ve bibliyografyadan oluştu. Birinci bölümde devletin yönetimi ele alındı. İkinci bölümde Dünya'da ve Osmanlı'da Nüfus ele alındı. Üçüncü bölümde Osmanlı Devleti'nde XVI. Yüzyıl'da Nüfus Hareketleri ele alındı. Dördüncü bölümde Cebri Nüfus Hareketleri işlendi. Çalışma Sonuç ve Bibliyografya ile son buldu. Çalışmada Osmanlı Devleti'nin nüfus hareketleri ile ilgili kararlarında adalet,hukuk, halkın huzur ve güvenliği, ekonomik gelişme ve üretimin devamı gibi ilkelere ısrarla ve yazılı metinler olan Mühimme Hükümlerinde ifade edildiği hali ile sıkı sıkıya bağlı olduğu tespit edildi. Yeni fethedilen yerlere ve nüfustan boş ve nüfus ihtiyacı olan yerlere Anadolu ve diğer coğrafyalardan nüfus transferi yaptığı tespit edildi. Çalışmada ikincil kaynaklar olarak alan ile ilgili eserlerden Türkçe, İngilizce, Arapça ve Osmanlıca kaynaklardan yararlanıldı.

The purpose of“Population Movements in Ottoman Empire in the 16th century”doctoral thesis study is to determine these population movements in the aforementioned state occurred under which conditions and factors. And besides this issue, the nature and direction of population mobility issues were tried to be determined as well. Thesis emphasized at the same time that these population movements took place under what kind management. Mühimme books records ,which constitutes the primary source of the Ottoman Empire, constituted the main source of the study. And in this, 16th century Mühimme books were taken as the basis, and was supported by secondary sources. This work consisted of; an Introduction, four chapters, conclusion and bibliography. In the first part, the management of state were discussed. In the second part, population in the Ottoman and in the world were debated. In the third chapter, Population Movements in the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century, were discussed. And the the fourth chapter is about, forced population movements.The study ended with a conclusion and bibliography.In the study were detected that decisions about population movements in the Ottoman Empire were persistent with principles such as, law, public peace and security, continued economic development and production. In the expression way of Mühimme Provisions which are texts“closely connected”with specific principles. It was determined that, to the newly conquered places, population empty places, as well as the places that is in need of population were transferred people from Anatolia and other regions.Turkish, English, Arabic and Ottoman language sources about the field were utilized as secondary sources in the study.
