Özet
Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin kurulduğu dönemlerde eğitim sistemi, Osmanlı Devleti'nden kalan oldukça eskimiş ve çağın gereklerinin gerisinde kalmış bir eğitim sistemiydi. Mevcut sistem, eğitimden beklenenleri sağlama açısından eksik kaldığı gibi eğitim faaliyetlerinin yürütülmesi açısından beklentileri karşılayacak nitelikte değildi. Ülkenin gelişmesi, vatandaşlık bilinci, kalifiye eleman yetiştirilmesi vb. hususlarda eğitimin öneminin farkında olan bilim insanları, mevcut bozuk sistemin iyileştirilmesi adına araştırmalar yaparak sistemi istenilen seviyeye getirmek için yol haritaları oluşturmaya çalışıyordu. Çalışmamızda, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin kuruluş dönemlerindeki eğitim sisteminin iyileştirilmesi çalışmaları ve bu çalışmalarda izlenecek olan yolları tarif eden bilim insanlarından Hilmi Ziya Ülken ve Mümtaz Turhan'ın görüşlerine yer verilmiştir. Bu iki bilim insanı da eğitim, eğitimde öğrenci, öğretim kademeleri, öğretmenin rolü gibi hususlar üzerinde yapılacak geliştirmeler konusunda küçük farklılıklar dışında benzer noktalar üzerinde durmaktadırlar.

It founded the Republic of Turkey in the period in which the education system, the education system was a quite outdated and has lagged behind the rest of the requirements of the era of the Ottoman Empire. The current system was incomplete in terms of providing the expectations from the training and was not capable of meeting the expectations in terms of conducting educational activities. Development of the country, awareness of citizenship, training of qualified staff and so on. Scientists who are aware of the importance of education on issues, were trying to create road maps to bring the system to the desired level by conducting researches to improve the existing damaged system. In our study, the improvement in the education system of the Republic of Turkey's founding era and the scientists who study the ways described in this study which will be followed Hilmi Ziya the country and have also been given Mumtaz Turhan opinion. These two scientists also stand on similar points, except for small differences in the development of education, students, teaching levels and the role of the teacher.
