Özet
Günümüzde teknoloji, bilimsel çalışmalar ışığı altında hızlı ilerlemeler kaydetmektedir. Teknolojideki bu ilerlemeler de yaşamımızdaki hemen hemen her alanı etkilemektedir. Teknolojinin etkilediği alanlardan biri de eğitim sistemimizdir. Son yıllarda eğitim sistemimizde akıllı tahtalar bilgi akışını sağlamada çok önemli roller üstlenmiştir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, İlköğretim 7.sınıf insan ve çevre ünitesinde akıllı tahta kullanımının fen başarısına, tutumuna ve öğrenci görüşlerine etkisini belirlemektir. Bu araştırma ön test-son test kontrol gruplu olup yarı deneysel bir çalışmadır. Araştırmada 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılında Konya İli Kulu İlçesinde yer alan bir ortaokulun 7.sınıfında okuyan 2 şubenin toplam 50 öğrenci ile çalışılmıştır. Şubelerden biri kontrol grubu diğeri ise deney grubu olarak seçilmiştir. Kontrol grubunda yer alan öğrencilerle İnsan ve Çevre Ünitesi geleneksel yöntemlere göre işlenirken, deney grubunda ise aynı ünite akıllı tahta uygulamaları ile işlenmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak“Akademik Başarı Testi”,“Fen Bilimleri Dersine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği”,“Fen Bilimleri Dersinde Akıllı Tahtaya Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği”ve“Görüşme Soruları”kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen nicel ve nitel veriler analiz edildiğinde, başarı testi ve akıllı tahtaya yönelik tutumları açısından deney grubu lehine istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark tespit edilmiştir (p<0.05). Ancak grupların Fen tutumları açısından istatistiksel olarak bir farklılık bulunamamıştır. Cinsiyete bağlı olarak akademik başarılarında da istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır. Ayrıca deney grubu ile yapılan görüşmelerden Fen Bilimleri dersinde akıllı tahta kullanımı hakkında olumlu yönde görüş belirttikleri tespit edilmiştir.

Nowadays, technology makes progress rapidly in terms of scientific studies. These progresses in technology affect almost every field in our lives. One of these fields that technology affects is our education system. In recent years, smart boards in our education system take very important roles on providing information flow. The purpose of this research is to determine the effects of using smart boards to science successes, attitudes and students' opinions in the 7th grade Human and Environment unit of Primary Education. This research is a quasi-experimental study with pre-test and post-test control group. For this research, it is worked on totally with 50 students of 2 classes who study in the 7th grade of a Secondary School in Kulu sub-province of Konya Province in 2017-2018 academic year. One of the classes is chosen as a control group and the other one is chosen as experimental group. While Human and Environment Unit is being studied according to the conventional methods with the students in the control group, on the other hand, the same unit is being studied with smart boards' applications in the Experimental Group. As data collecting materials,“Academic Success Tests”,“Attitudes Scales Regarding Science Lessons”,“Attitude Scales Regarding Smart Boards in Science Lessons”and“Interview Questions”are used. These tests are performed to the groups as pre-test and post-test. When quantitative and qualitative data obtained from the research results are analyzed, a significant difference is statistically detected in favour of the experimental group in terms of their success tests and their attitudes towards smart boards (p<0.05). However, any statistical difference could not be found in terms of the groups' science attitudes. No significant difference could also be found in their academic successes based on the gender. It is also detected from the interviews conducted with the experimental group that the students express their opinions positively about using smart boards in Science Lessons.
