Özet
Araştırmada, çocuk edebiyatı yazarlarının görüşlerine göre estetik ölçütleri belirlemek ve çocuk edebiyatı eserlerini, belirlenen ölçütler bağlamında değerlendirmek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın birinci alt amacı, çocuk edebiyatı yazarlarının görüşlerine göre çocuk edebiyatında estetik ölçütlerin belirlenmesidir. Çocuk edebiyatında estetik ölçütler olgusuna odaklanan bu alt amaç olgu bilim deseni ile tasarlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda kartopu örnekleme tekniği ile toplam 13 çocuk edebiyatı yazarına ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmada çocuk edebiyatında estetik ölçütlerin belirlenmesi amacıyla“yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu”geliştirilmiştir.“Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu”aracılığıyla elde edilen veriler, NVivo 8.0. Paket Programı kullanılarak içerik analizi yaklaşımına göre analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın ikinci alt amacı, çocuk edebiyatı eserlerini belirlenen ölçütler bağlamında değerlendirmektir. Bu amaç için doküman analizi deseninden yararlanılmıştır. Bu alt amaç doğrultusunda, ölçüt örnekleme tekniği ile Sevim Ak'ın“Vanilya Kokulu Mektuplar”adlı eseri belirlenmiştir. Çocuk edebiyatı eserinin değerlendirilmesi amacıyla“estetik ölçütler kontrol listesi”geliştirilmiştir. Araştırmada ilgili çocuk edebiyatı eserinin estetik ölçütlere göre değerlendirilmesi NVivo 8.0. Paket Programı kullanılarak betimsel analiz yaklaşımına göre gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın birinci alt amacından elde edilen verilere göre çocuk edebiyatındaki estetik ölçütlerin;“Eser çocuğun gelişim düzeyine uygun olmalı”,“Eserin dili güçlü olmalı”,“Eserin konusu, kurgusu nitelikli olmalı”,“Eser çocuğa düşünme becerisi kazandırmalı”,“Eserin dış yapı özellikleri nitelikli olmalı”,“Eser çocuğun dil becerilerinin geliştirilmesine destek olmalı”,“Eser dil, anlatım, konu, biçim vb. özellikler açısından tutarlı olmalı”,“Eser sanat algısı oluşturmalı”,“Eser türüne özgü özellikler taşımalı”,“Eserin öğretici yönü olmalı”ve“Eser ideolojik söylemlerden uzak olmalı”olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmanın ikinci alt amacından elde edilen verilere göre ise;“Vanilya Kokulu Mektuplar”adlı eserin estetik ölçütleri genel anlamda karşıladığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ancak eserde kullanılan Kıymık, Baldudak, Arapsaç, Bay Tırtır gibi lakapların kullanılmasının ve aşkın ön planda olmasının çocuğun duyuşsal, bilişsel ve kişilik gelişimleri açısından uygun olmadığı; Arapsaç lakabının düşünme becerisi bağlamında ön yargı taşıdığı ve bazı ifadelerin anlamının kapalı olduğu, dilinin açık, yalın olmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır.

In the current study, it is aimed to determine the aesthetic criteria on the basis of the opinions of the authors of children's literature and to evaluate the works of children's literature in terms of the determined criteria. In this connection, the first sub-problem of the current research is to determine the aesthetic criteria in children's literature on the basis of the opinions of the authors of children's literature. This sub-problem focused on the phenomenon of aesthetic criteria was designed according to the phenomenological design. In this regard, a total of 13 authors of children's literature were reached through the snowball sampling technique. In the current study, a semi-structured interview form was developed to determine the aesthetic criteria in children's literature. The data collected by using this semi-structured interview form were analyzed by means of the content analysis technique in NVivo 8.0 Program Package. The second sub-problem of the current research is to evaluate the works of children's literature according to the determined criteria. To this end, the document analysis design was used. In line with this sub-problem, the book by Sevim Akın“Vanilya Kokulu Mektuplar”was selected by means of the criterion sampling technique. In order to evaluate this work of children's literature“the aesthetic criteria check list”was developed. The evaluation of this work of children's literature on the basis of the pre-determined criteria was performed according to the descriptive analysis method in NVivo 8.0 Program Package. The data collected for the first sub-problem of the current research have revealed that the aesthetic criteria in children's literature should be as follows;“The work should be suitable for the developmental level of the child”,“The language of the work should be powerful”,“The topic and plot of the work should be quality”,“The work should promote thinking skills in children”,“The external structural features of the work should be quality”,“The work should contribute to the linguistic development of the child”,“The work should be consistent in terms of its linguistic, narrative, topical and structural etc. properties”,“The work should foster the artistic perception”,“The work should have the properties specific to its genre”,“The work should have an didactic aspect”and“The work should be distant from ideological discourses”. On the basis of the data obtained for the second sub-problem of the study, it was concluded that the book“Vanilya Kokulu Mektuplar”generally satisfies the determined aesthetic criteria. However, it is thought that the use of nicknames such as Kıymık, Baldudak, Arapsaç, Bay Tırtır in the book and the book's putting the main emphasis on love are not suitable for the child's affective, cognitive and personality development and that the nickname“Arapsaç”includes some prejudice in relation to thinking skill and the meanings of some expressions are closed, not clear and comprehensible.
