Özet
Ezra Pound 'un The Cantos'u, Modernist edebiyat anlamında esas bir özelliği taşır.. Modernist akımını tanımlayarak, devasal olan şiire hangi açılardan işlediği vurgulanır. Bu tez, modernizmin zaman içinde nasıl oluştuğu, nasıl tanımlandığı ve zaman içinde nasıl geliştiği üzerine bir seri süreci karşılar. Tez, hem içeriksel söylem hem şiirsel bağlamda, modernizm akımına daha derin bir kavrayış sağlar. Pound'un modernist bakış açısı ve Yeats'in okült bakışı boyunca bir çeşit yan yanalığı baskın çıkarak, The Cantos ve A Vision nasıl bir bütünlük oluşturduğu vurgulanır. Proje, The Cantos boyunca Pound'un teorik düşünceleri kadar Yeats'in okült bakış açısı üzerine felsefi detaylara odaklanır. Araştırma, eseri A Vision'da tarihin mistik teorileri boyunca W. B. Yeats'in okültizmine ve The Cantos ile ilişkisini harmanlayarak Ezra Pound'un modernizm kavramına odaklanır. Tezin nihai amacı, modernist dönemi boyunca Pound'un epik şiiri, The Cantos'un ve W. B. Yeats'in eşsiz eseri A Vision'ın edebi dışavurumları ne ölçüde edebi bir doyumun ihtiyacını karşıladığını incelemektir. Tez, The Cantos'un ve Yeats'in okültist bakış açısının, 19. yüzyılın sonlarının ve 20. yüzyılın başlarının inancını yitirmiş modernist dünyasından ne ölçüde edebi bir kaçışa ışık tuttuğunu inceler. Eserlerin önemini değerlendirerek, bu iki eşsiz eserin ne ölçüde daha derin bir anlayışta, insan doğasının akıl sağlığını dengede tutmaya çalışan edebi bir kaçışı karşıladığını inceler. Modernist dönem hususunda, 1. Dünya Savaşı'nın hüsranlığı ortasında, bu proje, modern dünyanın afetinden edebi bir iyileşmeyi yansıtmaya çalışır ki bu da tezin en önemli noktasıdır.

The Cantos by Ezra Pound serves in a quintessential way to focus on the Modernist idea of literature. By defining the Modernist movement, it is emphasized in what aspects this movement penetrates the monumental poem. The research provides a sequence as to how modernism was formed, how it is defined, and how it developed over time. The project provides a deeper insight into the concept of Modernism in the sentiments of both its contextual discourse and its poetic manner. By juxtaposing Pound's Modernist perception and Yeats's occultism, a unity is emphasized through The Cantos and A Vision. The project concentrates on philosophical details in Yeats's occultism as well as Pound's theoretical conceptions visible through The Cantos. The research focuses on W. B. Yeats's occultism through the mystical theories of history in his work, A Vision and Ezra Pound's conception of Modernism by harmonizing the interrelation through The Cantos. The ultimate purpose of the dissertation is to examine the extent to which the literary outpourings of Pound's epic poem, The Cantos and W. B. Yeats's unique work, A Vision fulfill the need of a literary satiation through the Modernist period. The dissertation aims to examine the extent to which The Cantos and Yeats's occultism shed light on literary escapism from the disenchanted Modernist world of the late 19th and the early 20th centuries. By evaluating the significance of these works of art, it probes the extent that the two works create a literary escape, which attempts to balance the sanity of human nature. Regarding the Modernist period, in the middle of the frustration of the First World War, the project attempts to reflect a literary recuperation from the cataclysm of the Modernist world.
