SUMMARY DYNAMICAL INVESTIGATION VIA BASIS OPERATOR EXPANSION FOR GENERALIZED HYDROGEN ATOM STRUCTURES In this work, the basis operator expansion method is used to determine the time-dependent motion of Generalized Hydrogen Atom ignoring the effects of external magnetic fields. The potentials of the Generalized Hydrogen Atom can be taken as V(r) = 7 ip rp£i and the Hamiltonian of the system has been determined as & & P a a 2m or r rl where % is the redused Planck's constant and m is the mass. The singularity of the systems Hamiltonian has been taken into conside ration while constructing the basis operators. The first two basis operators have been determined as appropriate functions of position and momentum. Accordingly, with the position and momentum operators of classical mechanics being the first two basis operators have been selected as -Pio = e V q(t)J p _i (-^-^) + (“^~K<l where a is a constant.Had there been no singularity in the systems Hamiltonian the position and momentum operators could have been taken as the first two basis operators. Rest of the operators could have been taken as structures formed from pro ducts of various integer powers of position and momentum operators. In this work, however the regular singularity at the point r=0 has been taken into consideration and the basis operators have been selected as follows: 1 P» =~2 i / a \ * m) (-?»!-*> In this work only operators upto third order (j + k < 3) has been taken into consideration. To use these basis operators in constructing the fluctuation equations, the derivative of the expected value of each basis operator has to be taken with respect to time. To this end let us now define the expected value of an operator. The expected value of an operator Q is /.oo (Q)= / F(r,t)Q1,(r,t)dr Jo where i/>(r,t) is the wave function and i()*(r,t) is the complex conjugate of the wave function. Hense, the expected value of a basis operator can be written as /.OO (Pjk}= / Tj>*(r,t)PjkiJ>(r,t)dr Jo If these expected values are symbolically shown as fjk(t) = (Pik) their derivatives with respect to time can be written as Mt) = /°V(M) [\{HPjk - PjkH)} 1,(r,t)dr or fjk(t) = ^(HPjk-PjkH)^ The first order equations obtained in this manner correspond to the equations without fluctuations whereas the rest of the equations to the equations that VIshow the fluctuations. /oo(*) =- m *f2i(t)+p(t)af20(t) + ^y/n(0 + |)K*)/io(*) + ^M(t) + ^K*)/oo(*) (i) /io(t) = m °fsı(t)+p(t)*fs0(t) +[^-l) f21(t) + ( 2a + At)2 q(jt) ffW /11W + «(*) -l)K*)/20(*) <?(')2 «w, P(t)fio(t) 1 «(*)' /oı(0 - JCpW/ooW (2) /oi(*) m ^/aa(*) +P(*M21(0 + ^/12(i) + ^P(t)fn(t) + -jffMt) a + Z7^2 PW oi(t) -e-W>V'(q(t))- i(t)4 -V'(q(t)) + W*)2 + q(t)3) V”(q(t)) + *&-V'»(q(t)) + [y^)2 ~ iW) V“(q{t)) ~ q(t)5V'”(q(t)) Mt) - Mt) YV'W)) (3) Mt) m */«(*) + P(t)<Tf4o(t) + (|^y - 2) Mt) + (J^ - 2 ) P(t)ho(t) q(t) + I -^ - -41 Mt) + (qW-qjt)) **)Mt) - ^Mt) q(t? q{t) 2 q(ty rK*)/io(*) (4) m + <r/»2(t) + <7P(t)Mt) + {^ - l) Mt) + (w)-1) P(t)f2l(t) At)2 q(t) )Mi)+{iW-^)mMi)'qWMi) vum :P(t)foı(t) + °V'(q(t)) + q(t)2V“(q(t)) Çv'Mt)) ~ q(tfV”(q(t)) - ^V“'(q(t)) /20(*) /so(*) (5) Mt) =- m 'fa® + ap(t)f22(t) + ^fiz(t) + ^Lp(t)f12(t) + J5)2 /os(0 + ~p(t)fo2(t) - 2e-WJV'(q(t)) + [^V'(q(t)) + 4q(t)2V”(q(t))]f11(t) + [2a2V'(q(t)) - 4aq(tfV“(q(t)) - 2q{tfV”{q(t))] f21(t) (6) Ao(0 =- m + <rMt)+p(t)<rf50(t) + (^-s] f41(t) +(^-3) p(*)/4o(<) Mt) At) 6 \.,. Since, t/>(r, t) is also a probability function / e r Im= - dr m = 0,1,2,...,6 Jo /.OO /»OO / ^*(r, 0)^(r, 0)rfr = A2 / e~ ^ ~2rdr = 1 Jo Jo The normalization constant A can be determined as 1 vx OO 2q+<r Qj dr The Mathematica program has been used to determine the values of these integrals and the corresponding normalization constant A for specific a and a values. The values obtained have been used to determine the initial values fjk(0). Equations, characterizing first, second and third order fluctuations have been numerically solved with Mathematica utiliting the initial conditions obtained from each differential equation. Graphs for fjk(t) functions and p(t), q(t) have been plotted. Finally, the time-dependent molecular motion of systems, having Genera lized Hydrogen Atom potentials can be observed. The results, obtained with Mathematica program show that for certain parameter values these systems have conservative structures that is the total energy of the system does not change with time. ix
