Özet
Yaşanılan yeri bireye yabancılaştıran, her yeri aynılaştıran sebepler yersizlik sorunsalını ortaya koymaktadır. Yer olmayanların çoğaldığı günümüzde yerin önemi çok daha fazla anlaşılmaktadır. Yer olgusunu gündeme getirmek ve mimari uygulamaların teorik ve pratik altyapılarında yerin rolünü belirlemek gerekmektedir. Mimari tasarımlara kılavuzluk edecek yer ve yerin ruhunu anlamaya yönelik yöntemlere ihtiyaç vardır. Tezin amacı, yapılı çevrelerde yer ve yerin ruhunu anlamaya yönelik özün araştırıcısı olan yöntemlerin sentezlendiği bir çerçeve yaklaşım önerisi geliştirmektir. Çalışma, teorik ve pratik diyalektiğinde literatür incelemesi, uygulamalar aracılığıyla geliştirme süreci ve öneri yaklaşımın ortaya koyulmasından oluşmaktadır. Geliştirme sürecinin aşamalarında anlam temelli hermeneutik, fenomenolojik ve semiyolojik yöntemler bir araya getirilmektedir. Bu çalışma sonucunda yer ve yerin ruhunu anlamaya yönelik, özün araştırıcısı hermeneutik-fenomenolojik-semiyolojik yöntemlerin sentezlendiği HFS Üst Çerçeve Yaklaşım önerisi ortaya konmaktadır. Bu yaklaşım, her türlü analitik çalışmanın yanında yardımcı olarak yeri anlamak için önerilmektedir. HFS bir yeri ve yerin ruhunu anlamanın başlangıç adımını oluşturan üst çerçeve bir yaklaşım olup her ölçekte uygulanabilir özelliğe sahiptir. Ayrıca tez kapsamında sokak pratiğinde alt bileşenler tanımlanmaktadır. Bu çalışma, sokak ölçeğinde yapılacak başka çalışmalara kılavuz niteliğindedir. Sonuç olarak bu tezde ortaya konan Hermeneutik- Fenomenolojik-Semiyolojik (HFS) Üst Çerçeve Yaklaşım farklı ölçeklerde tasarımların proje öncesi ve sonrası değerlendirilmesine olanak sağlayacaktır. Bunun yanı sıra, yaklaşım aracılığıyla, yere ait kimlik elemanlarını, yerin değerlerini veya zayıf yönlerini açığa çıkaracak bilgiler elde edilerek yapılı çevre ile ilgili çalışmalara katkı sunması beklenmektedir.

The reasons that alienate the place to the individual, the mirror of all places, reveals the problem of placelessness. Nowadays, the importance of the place is much more understood in the non-place. It is necessary to bring the phenomenon of the place and to determine the role of the place in the theoretical and practical infrastructures of architectural applications. There is a need for methods to understand the spirit of the place and the place to guide architectural designs. The aim of the thesis is to develop a framework approach suggesting the synthesis of methods which are investigators of the essence in order to understand the spirit of the place and place in the built environment. The study consists of literature review in theoretical and practical dialectics, development process through applications and suggestion approach. In the stages of the development process, meaning-based hermeneutic, phenomenological and semiological methods are brought together. As a result of this study, the HPS Upper Framework Approach is proposed in order to understand the spirit of the place and the place which hermeneutic-phenomenological-semiological methods are synthesized. This approach is proposed as an additional work to understand place beside of analytical metod. HPS is an upper-framework approach that is the starting point of understanding a place and the spirit of the place, and is applicable to all scales.In addition, sub-components in street practice are defined within the scope of the thesis.This study serves as a guide for further studies on street scale.As a result, the Hermeneutic-Phenomenological-Semiological (HPS) Upper-Framework Approach presented in this thesis will allow the evaluation of designs at different scales before and after the project.In addition, it is expected to contribute to studies related to the built environment by obtaining information that will reveal the identity elements of the place, the values or weaknesses of the place through the approach.
