Özet
Bir ülkenin varoluş amacı bireylerini korumak ve yaşamsal koşullarını ve standartlarını sürekli daha iyiye yükseltmektir. Ülkelerin gelişmişlik düzeyinin önemli bir göstergesi olan ekonomik büyüme, ülkelerin ticaret politikalarıyla ve dış ticareti yönlendirme biçimiyle sıkı bir ilişki içindedir. Küreselleşen dünyada ortak pazarlar haline gelen ülkelerin artık ekonomik olarak birbirine bağlı olduğu daha net görülmekte ve ekonomik gelişmelere ve sarsıntılara hassasiyet gösterdikleri bilinmektedir. Bu bağlamda dış ticaret ile ekonomi arasındaki ilişki incelenmeye değerdir. Bu tezde büyüme ve dış ticaretle ilgili genel bilgiler, yaklaşımlar ve tarihi süreç içindeki gelişimine genel bir bakış sunulduktan sonra Türkiye'de dış ticaret ve büyüme arasındaki ilişki analiz edilmiştir. TÜİK ve Dünya Bankası'ndan alınan dış ticaret göstergeleri ve büyümenin bir ölçüsü olarak kabul edilen GSYH zaman serileri ekonometrik yöntemle karşılaştırılmıştır. Sonuç olarak dış ticaretin ekonomik büyümeyi önemli ölçüde etkilediği, dış ticaretten büyümeye doğru bir nedensellik olduğu belirlenmiştir.

The purpose of existence of a country is to protect its individuals and to constantly improve their living conditions and standards. Economic growth, which is an important indicator of the level of development of the countries, is in close relation with the countries' trade policies and the way they direct foreign trade. Countries that have become common markets in the globalizing world are now clearly linked to each other economically and it is known that they are sensitive to economic developments and shocks. In this context, the relationship between foreign trade and economy is worth examining. General information on foreign trade to grow, and in this thesis, after the development of approaches and presents an overview of the historical period analyzed the relationship between trade and growth in Turkey. Foreign trade indicators from TURKSTAT and the World Bank and GDP time series, which are considered as a measure of growth, were compared with the econometric method. As a result, it was determined that foreign trade had a significant effect on economic growth and it was a causality from foreign trade to growth.
