Özet

Araştırmanın amacı, ilkokul 3. sınıf öğrencilerinde Senaryo Temelli Öğrenme yönteminin Hayat Bilgisi dersi“Sağlıklı Hayat”ünitesindeki akademik başarısına etkisini incelemektir. Bu araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden deney-kontrol gruplu, ön test- son testli deneysel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılı Ağrı ili Küpkıran İlkokulu 3. sınıfta öğrenim gören 43 deney ve 44 kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 84 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Deney ve kontrol gruplarının akademik başarı düzeyleri bakımından denkliğinin belirlenmesi amacıyla gruplara ön test uygulanmış ve grupların birbirlerine denk olduğu belirlenmiştir. Deney grubunda dersler kontrol grubundan farklı olarak senaryo temelli öğrenme yaklaşımı ile işlenmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen güvenirlik katsayısı (Cronbach's Alpha) 0.83 olarak belirlenen başarı testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre başarı son test puanları arasındaki fark deney grubu lehine anlamlı bulunmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda, deney grubunda derslerin senaryo temelli öğrenme yaklaşımıyla işlenmesi öğrencilerin akademik başarısına etkisinde kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı fark olduğu söylenebilir.

The purpose of the study is to examine the effect of the scenario-based learning method on academic achievement in“healthy life”unit of social studies course in 3rd grade primary school students. In this research,pre-test post-test experimental research method with experimental control group was used as one of the quantitative research method. Participants of the study comprised 84 of 3rd grade students at Ağrı Küpkıran Primary School. The experimental group consists of 43 students and the control group consists of 44 students. In order to determine the equivalence of experimental and control groups in terms of academic achievement levels, pretest was applied to the groups and the groups were determined to be homogeneous. In the experimental group, the lessons were taught with scenario-based learning approach unlike the control group. As a data collection tool,the achievement test which was developed by the researcher and whose alpha reliability coefficient was determined as 0.83. The difference between the final test scores of success has been in favour of the experiment group. As a result of the study ,it can be said that there is a significant difference between the results of the experimental group and the effects of the scenario based learning approach on the academic achievement of the students when compared to the control group
