Özet
Bu çalışmada 1960'lı yıllar Türk sineması siyaset ve ideoloji açısından değerlendirilecektir. Bunun için de öncelikle ideoloji teorileri ile bu teorilere katkı sunan teorik yaklaşımlar genel bir biçimde özetlenecek ve bu kapsamda Ernesto Laclau'nun bir teorisyen olarak tartışmaya katkısı ortaya konmaya çalışılacaktır. Laclau'nun ideoloji teorilerine eklemlenecek şekilde geliştirdiği“popülist akıl”kavramı çalışmamızın teorik kısmının varış noktasını oluşturacaktır. Daha sonra 1960'lı yıllarda Türkiye'de siyaset, düşünce hayatı ve bunlarla ilişkili olarak Türk sinemasının gelişimi tarihsel bir perspektifle anlaşılmaya çalışılacaktır. Laclau'nun“popülist akıl”kavramı da Türk sinemasında 1960'lı yıllar boyunca geliştirilen farklı söylemleri, bunların hegemonik güçleri, farklı toplumsal tiplerle ilişkileri açısından değerlendirmekte kullanılacaktır. Böylelikle 1960'lı yıllar boyunca Türk sineması çeşitli örnekler üzerinden ideolojik olarak çözümlenecek ve dönemin sinemasına dair bir çerçeve geliştirilmeye çalışılacaktır. Bu çalışmanın temel önermesi 1960'lı yıllarda Türk sinemasında öncü yönetmenlerin filmlerinin sınırlarını çizdiği popülist bir muhayyilenin geliştirilmiş olduğudur. Bu muhayyile bir yandan 1950'lerden itibaren gelişen“popüler”sinemanın imkanlarını ve toplumla ilişki kurma kanallarını kullanırken bir yandan da kendini ondan ayrıştırmıştır. Bu ayrıştırma“popülist”eğilimin hegemonik bir söylem üretebildiği dönemin sonlarından itibaren popüler sinemayı da bir biçimde etkilemiştir. Bu çalışmada 1960'lı yıllar boyunca Türk sinemasındaki popülist eğilim dört evrede incelenmiştir. Bunlardan ilkini 1960'lı yılların başında toplumsal sorunlar konusunda hassaslaşmış ve toplumsal plandaki popülizm ihtiyacını gösteren filmler oluşturur. Sonrasında daha çok 27 Mayıs'ın dolaşıma soktuğu ve yaygınlaşmasına imkan tanıdığı bir toplumculuk söylemi popülizm ihtiyacına cevaben filmlerde görünürlük kazanmıştır. Kurumsal siyaset içerisinden üretilen bu tepkide kendine ifade imkanı bulamayan talepler ise Türk sinemasında belirli bir toplumsal söylem arayışı içerisinde olan yönetmenlerin filmlerinin öncülüğünde popülist bir eğilimde karşılık bulmuştur. Bu eğilim dönemin sonunda bir yandan Türk sinemasında kurucu bir mantık haline gelirken bir yandan da kendini politik film olarak sunan örneklerde kısmi ideolojik öznelliklere bölünerek bir tür krize girmiştir.

In this study, the 1960s Turkish cinema will be evaluated in terms of politics and ideology. To this end, the theoretical approaches that contribute to the theories of ideology will be summarized in a general way and in this context, the contribution of Ernesto Laclau as a theorist will be tried to be put forward. Laclau's concept of“populist reason”which is developed to contribute the ideology theories will constitute the final destination of the theoretical part of our study. Then, politics in Turkey in the 1960s as a background of the evolution of Turkish cinema and intellectual life will be analyzed from a historical perspective. At this point, Laclau's concept of“populist reason”will be used to evaluate the different discourses emerged during the 1960s in Turkish cinema, their hegemonic capabilities, and their relations with different social types. Thus, 1960s Turkish cinema will be analyzed ideologically through films and a framework for the cinema of the period will be developed. The main proposition of this study is that a“populist”imagination was developed in the 1960s by avant-garde Turkish filmmakers. This imagination, on the one hand, used the opportunities of the“popular”cinema as it progressed since the 1950s and the channels of relations it established with the society but also distinguished itself from it through various intellectual promises. This distinction has transformed popular cinema in some way from the end of the period when the populist tendency was able to produce a hegemonic discourse in Turkish cinema. In this study, the populist trend in Turkish cinema during the 1960s was explored within four stages. In the first stage, the films were sensitive to social problems at the beginning of the 1960s and showed the need for populism. Socialist rhetoric, which is circulated by the elites and become widespread after 27 May was an apparent response to the populist demands. However, these demands that cannot be represented within the response of institutional politics have been met by a populist tendency led in Turkish cinema by the directors who are in a search of a new social discourse. This tendency has become a constitutive logic in Turkish cinema, on the other hand, has been divided into particular ideological subjectivities and entered into a kind of crisis at the end of the era.
