Özet

.Yerel halk turizm etkileşiminin sonuçları bir bölgedeki turizm faaliyetleri açısından göz ardı edilmeyecek kadar önemlidir. Bu etkileşimlerin olumlu olması turizme ve turistlere yönelik olumlu tutumları doğuracaktır. Olumsuz etkileşimler ise olumsuz tutumları beraberinde getirecektir. Turizm ve yerel halk arasındaki bu etkileşim çeşitli kuramlar çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır. Son zamanlarda ise kimlik kuramı esas alınarak yapılan akademik çalışmalara rastlamak mümkündür. Kimlik kuramı temelinde gerçekleştirilen akademik çalışmalar, bireyin kimlik bileşenlerinin davranışları üzerinde etkili olduğunu ileri sürmektedir. Bu açıdan ele alındığında bir bölgede gelişen turizm faaliyetlerinin o bölgede yaşayan bireylerin kimliği ile uyumlu olup olmadığı ve bu durumun turizme yönelik algı ve tutumlar üzerindeki etkisi incelenmesi gereken bir konudur. Bu tez de bu temel varsayımlar üzerine tasarlanmıştır. Yerel halkın yer kimliği, topluluğa bağlılığı, sürdürülebilir turizm tutumu, turizmin gelişimini destekleme ve yaşam memnuniyetleri arasındaki ilişkilerin incelenmesi çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Seferihisar'da yaşayan yerel halka yönelik bir uygulama gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yüzyüze anket uygulaması sonucu 500 kişiden veri toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler istatistik programları aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları genel olarak incelendiğinde, katılımcıların yer kimliği ve topluluğa bağlılık düzeylerinin yüksek seviyede olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma değişkenleri arasındaki ilişkiler, kuramsal çerçeveye dayalı olarak geliştirilmiş bir modele bağlı kalarak incelenmiştir. Buna göre, yer kimliğinin sürdürülebilir turizm tutumu üzerinde anlamlı ve olumlu ve turizmin gelişimini destekleme üzerinde anlamlı ve olumsuz etkileri olduğu ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Topluluğa bağlılık ise yaşam memnuniyeti ve sürdürülebilir turizm tutumu üzerinde anlamlı ve olumlu etkiler yapmaktadır. Bununla birlikte, katılımcıların Seferihisar'a yönelik belirli özellikleri ile araştırma değişkenleri arasında istatistiki anlamda farklılıklar olduğu görülmüştür. Son olarak bulgulara dayalı sonuçlara ve Seferihisar'da turizm sektöründe söz sahibi paydaşlara yönelik öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

.The results of the residents and tourism interaction are too important for tourism activities in a destination. The positive interactions will create positive attitudes towards tourism and tourists. Negative interactions will bring negative attitudes. This interaction between tourism and residents has been handled within the framework of various theories. Recently, it is possible to come across academic studies based on the identity theory. Academic studies carried out on the basis of identity theory suggest that the individual's identity components are effective on their behavior. From this point of view, it is an issue that needs to examine whether the tourism activities developing in a region are compatible with the identity of the individuals living in that region and the effect of this situation on the perceptions and attitudes towards tourism. This thesis is also designed on these basic assumptions. The aim of the study is to examine the relationships between residents' place identity, community attachment, sustainable tourism attitude, support for tourism development and life satisfaction. For this purpose, an application was carried out for the residents in Seferihisar. Data were collected from 500 people as a result of face-to-face survey. The data obtained were analyzed through statistical programs. When the findings of the research were analyzed in general, it was determined that the participants' place identity and community attachment levels were high. The relationships between the research variables were examined by adhering to a model developed based on the theoretical framework. Accordingly, it has been revealed that place identity has significant and positive effects on sustainable tourism attitude and significant and negative effects on support for tourism development. The community attachment has significant and positive effects on life satisfaction and sustainable tourism attitude. However, it was seen that there were statistically differences between the participants' specific characteristics towards Seferihisar and the research variables. Finally, suggestions have been developed for the results based on the findings and the stakeholders who have a voice in the tourism sector in Seferihisar.
