Özet
Bu çalışma, ben ve başkası ikiliğinin sorgulanması aracılığıyla kompozisyonel diyalog yaratmaya odaklanmaktadır. Bilinmeyene hazır ve açık olmanın bedensel ve düşünsel araçları üzerinden şekillendiği eser, bir düet olarak kurgulanmış ve başkasını odağa alan bir araştırmayla başlamıştır. Ancak koşullar gereği, önemli bir kırılma noktasından geçerek ben ve bendeki-başka arasındaki ilişki çerçevesinde bir solo eser olarak tamamlanmıştır. Çalışma kavramsal çerçevesini fenomenoloji ve çağdaş performans teorisi üzerine temellendirmektedir. Öncelikle, 20. yüzyıl felsefe tarihine yön veren önemli düşünürlerin ben ve başkası arasındaki ilişkide doğal tavrı askıya alarak düşünme, birlikte olma, sonsuz sorumluluk, beden ve bendeki-başka gibi farklı kavramları etrafında ele alınmıştır. Kompozisyonel diyalog pratikleri ise çağdaş dans ve performans sahnesinin dönüm noktalarında bulunan sanatçıların yaklaşımları çerçevesinde örneklendirilerek incelenmiştir. Çalışma, merkezindeki kavramları kuramsal bir araştırma içinde tartışırken bu araştırmaya paralel olarak beden odaklı hareket yaklaşımları deneyimlenmiştir. Ben'in bendeki-başka'yla ve başkasıyla ilişkisi bağlamında, özellikle sürecin en önemli değişkeni olan pandemi koşullarının etkisiyle açığa çıkan bilinmeyene açık olmanın yansımaları“Diyalog”adlı esere dönüşmüştür.

This study focuses on creating a compositional dialogue through questioning the duality between the self and the other. Taking shape by the bodily and intellectual means of being open and ready for the unknown, the piece was initially planned as a duet, proceeding with its emphasis on the research on the other. But due to circumstances it had to go through an important turning point to be completed as a solo piece framing the relationship between the self and the other in self. The theoretical framework of this thesis is based on phenomenology and the performance theory. The first part approaches the 20th century's some of the most important philosophers' theories on the interrelation between the self and the other through the lens of bracketing, being together, eternal responsibility, the flesh and the other in me. Secondly, the practices of compositional dialogue are explored through the approaches of artists, who are considered to be at the turning points of contemporary dance and performance scene, with examples. Body-based movement practices accompanied the theoretical research on the concepts at the center of this thesis. Reflections on being open to unknown, which emerged as a necessity due to the pandemic being the biggest variable of the process, within the context of interrelation between me, the other in me and the other, transformed into the artistic piece called“Dialogue”.
