Looking at the competition conditions, the number of firms in the textile and clothing sector has decreased in the last 20 years. In times of crisis, small firms are sinking because of their unemployment and the problems related to their receivables. In the period 1999-2018, the textile and clothing sector has been growing both in terms of manufacturing and foreign trade, and when the number of companies decreased, it is concluded that the small firms in the sector can no longer compete. The aim of this study is to examine the competitiveness of Turkish textile sector in international trade.
