Özet
Bu çalışmada, İzmir'deki Ege Üniversitesi Hastanesi bahçesinin peyzaj tasarımı kapsamında ve fiziksel yeterliliğini analiz etmektedir. Araştırmanın ana materyali olan Ege Üniversitesi Hastanesi bahçesi bir alan – vaka çalışmasıdır. Araştırmanın yöntemi üç aşamalı olup ilk aşamada, saha gözlemleri sırasında araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan fiziksel yeterlilik formu doldurulmuştur. İkinci aşama, üniversite hastanesinde gerçekleştirilen temsili bir kullanıcı örneğine yönelik olup (doktorlar, hemşireler, idari personel, tıp fakültesi öğrencileri, hasta, hasta yakınları, ziyaretçiler vb.) sistematik gözlem protokolü üzerine inşa edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın gözlem periyodu Mayıs – Haziran 2019 ve Kasım – Aralık 2019 süre aralığını kapsamaktadır. Veri toplama sürecinde Ege Üniversitesi Hastanesi bahçesi 7 bölgeye ayrılarak kapsamlı analizler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tüm bu sürecin son aşamasında, bulgular değerlendirilerek Sakıcı (2009)'dan yararlanılan gözlem – puantaj tablosundaki nitelikler hastane bahçesinin bölgelerine göre puanlandırılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, hastane bahçesinin mevcut durumunun fiziksel yeterliliği sayısal olarak ifade edilmek gerekirse %35,1 (yetersiz) olarak saptanmıştır. Söz konusu durumun iyileştirilmesi için sonuç ve öneriler kısmında stratejiler geliştirilmiştir. Sonuç ürün olarak 'peyzaj master planı' önerilere eklenmiş olup iyileştirilme oranının en az %45 (kısmen başarılı) çıkarılabileceği ön görülmüştür.

In this study, Ege University Hospital in İzmir analyses the physical competence of the garden within the scope of landscape design. The main material of the research, Ege University Hospital garden, is a field - a case study. The method of research has three stages. In the first stage, the physical competency form created by the researcher during the field, observations were filled. The second stage is built on a systematic observation protocol on a representative user sample (doctors, nurses, administrative staff, medical school students, patients, patient relatives, visitors, etc.) carried out at the university hospital. In this context, the observation period of the research covers the period between May – June 2019 and November – December 2019. During the data collection process, Ege University Hospital garden was divided into 7 regions and comprehensive analysis was carried out. At the last stage of this whole process, the findings were evaluated and the qualities in the observation table benefiting from Sakıcı (2009) were scored according to the regions of the hospital garden. As a result, the physical competence of the current state of the hospital garden was determined as 35.1% (insufficient) to be expressed numerically. Strategies have been developed in the results and suggestions section to improve the situation. As the product of the result, 'landscape master plan' was added to the suggestions and it was thought that the improvement rate could be increased by 45% (partially successful).
