Özet
İndirgemeci bir sanat olarak bilinen Minamalizm Sanat akımı; 1960'lı yıllarda soyut dışavurumculuk akımının aşırı duygusal ve fevri tarzına tepki olarak, 'less is more' yani 'az çoktur' ilkesi ile yapılaşmış, mantığa dayanan bir sanat akımıdır. Grafik tasarım içerisinde geniş kitlelere, çok kısa sürede hitap eden ve grafik sanatının en önemli unsuru olan afiş; kalabalıklara asılan resimli duvar ilanı anlamındadır. Reklam amacı güden afişin alt yapısına inildiğinde sanat akımlarından belirli izler yansıtmakta ve bu izler toplumun yaşantısını dünyaya aktarmaktadır. Bu tez çalışmasında 2. ve 3. bölümünde, akımın oluşumundaki alt yapı, tarihçesi, sanatçıları ve eserleri ayrıntılı olarak anlatılmıştır. 4. ve 5. bölümde grafik tasarım ve afiş tasarımı, tasarım sürecine de değinilerek tarihçesi, afiş çeşitleri ve örnekleri ile birlikte aktarılmıştır. Tezin 6. bölümünde, çalışmanın yöntemine değinilmiş, araştırma bulguları bölümünde ise Minimalist Sanat ile afiş tasarımı arasındaki ilişkiye ışık tutmak amacıyla, sosyal afiş çeşidi içerisine giren 'Hayvan Hakları' temalı 'Minimalist Afiş Tasarımları' yapılmış ve afişler analiz edilerek açıklanmıştır. Afişlerde, konunun psikolojik etkisinin minimal sanat çerçevesinde uygulanabilirliği üzerinde durularak afişlerdeki denge ve kompozisyonun hareketini sağlayan imgeler tek bir görsel sınırlamasıyla oluşturulmuştur. İllüstrasyona eşlik eden renk tonlarının yalına indirgenmiş olduğu gözlenebilir. Çalışmalarda olabildiğince az unsur birleştirerek problemin çözümünde, yalnızca gereken parçaların bir bütün oluşturmasıyla, minimal eğilim anlayışı hedeflenmiş, sade ve basit anlatımlar ile tasarımlar tamamlanmıştır. Kullanılan tek bir görselle birden fazla anlam ve duygu aktaran afiş tasarımlarının yapılabiliyor olması, minimalist sanata dair kuralları kapsayacak nitelikte ve bunun bir göstergesi olabileceği tespit edilmiştir.

Minimalism Art Movement is known as a reductionist art; It is an art movement based on logic, structured with the principle of 'less is more', as a reaction to overly emotional and impulsive style of abstract expressionism in the 1960s. The poster, which appeals to large masses in a very short time and is the most important element of graphic art in graphic design; It means an illustrated wall announcement to the crowd. When the infrastructure of the poster for advertising purposes is reached, it reflects certain traces of art movements and these traces convey the life of the society to the world. In the second and third part of this thesis, the background, history, artists and masterpieces of the movement are explained in detail. In the fourth and fifth part, the graphic design and the poster design are explained with its history, poster types and examples by mentioning the design process. In the sixth part of the thesis, the method of the study has been mentioned, and in the part of the research findings, in order to shed light on the relationship between Minimlist Art and the poster design, 'Animal Rights' themed 'Minimalist Poster Design' were made and the posters were analyzed and explained. In the posters, focusing on the applicability of the psychological effect of the subject within the framework of minimal art, the images that provide the balance and movement of the composition on the posters were created with a single visual limitation. It can be observed that the color tones accompanying the illustration are reduced to plain. In the studies, the solution of the problem by combining as few elements as possible, by forming a whole of only the necessary parts, the understanding of minimal tendency was aimed and the designs were completed with plain and simple expressions. It has been determined that poster designs can be made that convey more than one meaning and emotion with a single visual used, which can be an indicator of the rules of minimalist art.
