Özet

ABD'nin Bağımsızlık Savaşı'nda ve akabinde bu yeni devletin inşasında oldukça önemli roller oynayan bu iki isim ve temsil ettikleri ideolojiler Amerikan tarihi açısından her daim büyük önem arz etmektedir. Amerikan devlet sistemine nüfuz eden bu iki görüşün izleri günümüze dek takip edilebilmekte ve halen de tartışılagelmektedir. Özellikle konu özelinde ülkemizde daha önce kapsamlı bir çalışma yapılmamış olması da dikkat çekici bir noktadır. Bu araştırma çerçevesinde Alexander Hamilton ve Thomas Jefferson anlaşmazlığı ele alınmış ve bu çatışmanın, ABD'nin kuruluş döneminde, Amerikan siyasi ve fikri yapısına olan etkisi incelenmiştir. Dolayısıyla araştırma kapsamında Alexander Hamilton ve Thomas Jefferson rekabetinin, ABD'nin kuruluşuna etkisi araştırılmış, bu anlamda birer temsilcisi oldukları federalist ve anti-federalist perspektifler ortaya koyularak Amerikan siyasi ve fikri yapısına etkisinin olup olmadığı sorusuna yanıt aranmıştır. Jefferson ve Hamilton'ın bakış açıları, kalemlerinden çıkan farklı yazıların karşılaştırılması vasıtasıyla ortaya konulmuş ve sahip oldukları farklı perspektifler doküman analizi yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiştir. Gerçekleştirilen literatür taraması neticesinde günümüz ABD'sinde hala izlerini gördüğümüz hem iç politika hem de dış politika stratejilerinin, ABD'nin kuruluş döneminde tezahür eden bu karşıt iki fikrin zaman içerisinde evrilmesi nihayetinde şekillendiği sonucuna varılmıştır.

These two names and the ideologies they represent play an important role in the history of the United States, which play very important roles in the US War of Independence and subsequently in the construction of this new state. The traces of these two views that penetrate the American state system can be followed up to this day and are still being discussed. It is also remarkable that a comprehensive study has not been done in our country before, especially on the subject. In the context of this research, Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson dispute was discussed and the impact of this conflict on the American political and intellectual structure during the foundation of the USA was examined. Therefore, within the scope of the research, the effect of Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson rivalry on the establishment of the USA was investigated, and in this sense, the federalist and anti-federalist perspectives they represented were asked to answer the question of whether it had an impact on the American political and intellectual structure. The perspectives of Jefferson and Hamilton were put forward by comparing different articles from their items and their different perspectives were evaluated by document analysis method. As a result of the literature review carried out, it was concluded that both the domestic and foreign policy strategies, which we still see in the USA today, have evolved and eventually formed these two opposing ideas that appeared during the establishment period of the USA.
