Özet
Endülüs'te İslam varlığının zirveye ulaştığı yıllarda dünyaya gelen İbn Rüşd Aristoteles'i şerh etmesiyle meşhur olmuş ve İslam dünyası içerisinde“şârihlerin şârihi”, Batı'da ise“great commentator”olarak anılmıştır. Felsefesinde orijinal fikirler de barındıran İbn Rüşd bu yönüyle Batı felsefesini etkilemiş ve özellikle Orta Çağ Üniversiteleri'nde adından sıkça söz ettirmiştir. İbn Rüşdcülük hareketine can veren filozof Rönesans'a giden yolda bu harekete ivme katmış ve Avrupa'nın“yeniden doğmasına”hatırı sayılır bir dokunuş yapmıştır. Bu çalışma İbn Rüşd'ün fikirlerine mercek tutarak onun özellikle batıdaki etkilerini inceleyecektir. Doğu toplumlarının filozofu unuttuğunun altını çizerek, onu her daim hatırlayan batı toplumlarının nasıl bir kalkınma yaşadığını anlatmaya çaba gösterecektir. İki bölge arasındaki devasa fark elbette ki tek bir filozofun varlığına bağlanamaz fakat İbn Rüşd bu iki bölgenin hayata bakış açılarını göstermek adına paha biçilemez derecede önemli bir örnektir. Bu sebeple özelde İbn Rüşd'ü konu alan bu çalışma derinlerinde bir Doğu-Batı kritiği yapmaktadır

Ibn Rushd, who was born in the years when the Islamic presence in Andalusia reached its peak, became famous for his commentary on Aristotle and was called as“ şârihlerin şârihi ”in the Islamic world and“the great commentator”in the West. Having original ideas in his philosophy, Ibn Rushd influenced Western philosophy with this aspect and made a name for himself especially in Middle Ages Universities. The philosopher, who gave life to the Ibn Rushdie movement, accelerated this movement on the way to the Renaissance and made a considerable touch to the“rebirth”of Europe. This study will examine Ibn Rushd's influences especially in the west by focusing on his ideas. Underlining that the Eastern societies have forgotten the philosopher, he will endeavor to explain the development of the western societies that always remember him. The enormous difference between the two regions cannot of course be attributed to the existence of a single philosopher, but Ibn Rushd is an invaluable example of showing the perspective of life in these two regions. For this reason, this study, which is specifically about Ibn Rushd, makes a deep East-West critique.
