Özet

Bu araştırmada, otizmli çocuklarda manyetik ses kartlarını resim değiş-tokuşuna dayalı iletişim sistemine dâhil ederek istek bildirme becerisi kazanmalarına etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırma konuşamayan ve herhangi bir alternatif destekleyici iletişim sistemine sahip olmayan otizmli 9-12 yaşları arasında iki erkek ve bir kız çocuk ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada tek denekli araştırma desenlerinden denekler arası yoklama denemeli çoklu yoklama deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada resim değiş-tokuş ile iletişimin ilk evresinde ulaşılması planlanan istek bildirme becerisinin öğretimi yapılmıştır. Eğitim süreci iki öğretmen (yönlendirici ve iletişim ortağı) ile aşamalı yardım, pekiştireç işlevi gören nesneler ve nesneleri temsil eden görseller kullanılarak öğretim gerçekleşmiştir. İstek bildirmeyi öğrenen çocuklarda kazandıkları bu beceriyi farklı kişi ve ortamlara genelleyip genelleyemedikleri değerlendirilmiştir. Ayrıca bu uygulamadan sonra ikinci ve dördüncü haftalarda izleme oturumları gerçekleşmiştir. Yoklama oturumları sonucuna göre üç katılımcı çocuk %100 doğru tepkiyle manyetik kartlara dâhil edilen resim değiş-tokuşu kartlarını kullanarak istek bildirmeyi öğrenmiştir. Uygulama sona erdiğinde aynı yaş grubu ve özelliklere sahip çocuklarla çalışan beş öğretmenden araştırmanın süreci ve sonucu ile ilgili sosyal geçerlik verisi toplanmıştır.

In this study, the teaching of manding was investigated in children with autism using magnetic sound cards in the communication system based on picture exchange. The study was conducted with two boys and a girl aged 9-12 years with autism who cannot speak and do not have any alternative supportive communication system. Multiple probe design with probe across subjects, one of the single-subject research designs, was used in the study. Manding was planned to be achieved in the first phase of communication with picture exchange, was taught. The education process was carried out with two teachers (prompter and communication partner), using gradual guidance, objects that act as reinforcers and images representing objects. It was evaluated whether children who learn to express wishes can generalize this skill they have acquired to different people and environments. In addition, follow-up sessions were held in the second and fourth weeks after this implementation. According to the results of the probe sessions, three participating children learned to mand using the picture exchange cards included in the magnetic cards with a 100% correct response. When the implementation was completed, social validity data related to the process and result of the research were collected from five teachers working with children of the same age group and characteristics.
