Özet

Bu araştırma ile özel yetenekli öğrencilere dil etkinlikleri yoluyla verilen sosyal beceri eğitiminin öğrencilerin sosyal becerilerini nasıl etkilediğini ortaya çıkarmak amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda“Özel yetenekli öğrencilere dil etkinlikleri yoluyla verilen sosyal beceri eğitimi öğrencilerin sosyal becerilerini nasıl etkilemektedir?”sorusu araştırmanın problem cümlesini oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın yöntemi özel yetenekli öğrencilerin uygulama öncesi, uygulama süreci ve uygulama sonrası sosyal beceri durumlarını ortaya koymak amacıyla eylem araştırması şeklinde tasarlanmıştır. Birçok kazanımı sosyal beceri ile ilgili olan Türkçe derslerinde uygulanmak üzere dokuz haftalık bir eylem planı hazırlanmıştır. Eylem planı, uygulamanın ilk ve son haftasında veli görüşmeleri, öğretmen görüşmeleri, ön test ve son test ölçümleri olacak şekilde planlanmıştır. Yüz yüze eğitim ve uzaktan eğitimle ilgili alınan kararlar doğrultusunda ön test ölçeği ve ilk dört etkinlik uzaktan, son üç etkinlik ve son test ölçeği yüz yüze gerçekleşmiştir. Araştırmaya Konya Bilim ve Sanat Merkezine devam eden ve 3 grubu oluşturan 20 öğrenci katılmıştır. Bu öğrenciler 7 kişi, 7 kişi ve 6 kişi olmak üzere üç farklı grupta eğitim almaktadırlar. Her üç grupta eylem planı aynı tarihte uygulanmıştır. Uygulama öncesi öğrencilerin tamamının topluluk önünde konuşma konusunda olumsuz düşündüğü, tamamı için biriyle tanışmanın zor olduğu, tanışma konusunda ilk adımı karşı taraftan bekledikleri ve öğrencilerin tamamının sosyal açıdan BİLSEM'de daha iyi oldukları; öğrencilerin BİLSEM'de daha iyi olduklarını ifade etmelerine rağmen sosyal beceri düzeylerinin istenen durumda olmadığı görülmüştür. Uygulama sonrası ise etkinliklerin öğrencilerin sosyal becerilerinin geliştirilmesi bakımından olumlu olduğu, sosyal becerinin sistematik etkinlikler yoluyla öğretilmesinin ve Türkçe derslerinde yapılan çalışmaların çocukların sosyal becerilerine katkı sağladığı görülmüştür. Öğrenciler etkinlikleri eğlenceli, öğretici, hayatın içinden, iletişimi geliştirici, faydalı, arkadaşlık ilişkilerini geliştirici, utangaçlığı azaltıcı, öz güven veren, paylaşımı artıran, derse katılma konusunda teşvik edici olarak tanımlamışlardır. Veliler ve öğretmenler de çocukların sosyal beceri gelişiminin olumlu yönde olduğunu ifade etmişlerdir.

This research aims to reveal how the social skills training given to gifted students through language activities affects the students' social skills. In line with this purpose, the question“How does the social skills training given to gifted students through language activities affect the social skills of the students?”constitutes the problem statement of the research. The research method was designed as action research to reveal the social skill status of gifted students before, during, and after the implementation. A nine-week action plan has been prepared to be implemented in Turkish lessons, many of which are related to social skills. The action plan was planned to include parent interviews, teacher interviews, pre-test and post-test measurements in the first and last week of the implementation. By the decisions taken on face-to-face training and distance education, the preliminary test scale and the first four events were carried out remotely, the last three events and the final test scale were carried out face-to-face. 20 students studying at Konya Science and Art Center and formed 3 groups participated in the research. These students are educated in three different groups as 7 students, 7 students, and 6 students. The action plan was implemented on the same date in all three groups.Before the implementation, all of the students thought negatively about speaking in front of the public, it was difficult for all of them to meet someone, they expected the first step to meet from the other people and all of the students were better in BİLSEM on these matters; although the students stated that they were better in BİLSEM, it was seen that their social skill levels were not at the desired level. After the implementation, it was seen that the activities of the students showed a positive development in terms of the development of social skills, teaching social skills through systematic activities and the studies in Turkish lessons contributed to the social skills of the children. Students defined activities as fun, instructive, life-enhancing, useful, developing friendship relationships, reducing shyness, giving confidence, increasing sharing, encouraging participation in the course. Parents and teachers also stated that children's social skills development is positive.
