Özet (Çeviri)
In the context of growing globalisation, increasing consumption and differentiation, there is huge competition between consumers. Consumers seek to differentiate themselves from others and acquire a higher position in society (O'Cass and McEwen 2004). This research focuses on exploring the relationship between the status consumption of parents and their children's wellbeing. Additionally, this study aims to investigate the relationships between parents through their children's food consumption. In this study, theory is built on an interpretivist research approach via the creation of semi-structured interviews. Using an ethnography/netnography approach, people and online communities were observed for a long time to gather reliable and objective information. After collecting the primary data from 13 participants via semi-structured interviews and secondary data from online community chat outlines, interviews were coded carefully. Findings were derived from data, explained and implemented. The study contributes towards the literature by examining the construction of distinction by parents through their children's dietary wellbeing and seeks to provide a deep and detailed contribution for further research into status consumption.
