Internet addiction and disordered eating attitudes are very common mental health problems among high school students. The main purpose of the study is to examine the relationship between internet addiction and disordered eating attitudes among Turkish high school students in Ankara. Other purposes of this study are to examine the relationship between Body Mass Index and Internet Addiction and to investigate the differences between Internet Addiction and Disordered Eating Attitudes, and selected socio-demographic characteristics. 250 students from 5 different high schools in Ankara were included in this study. In the process, Internet Addiction Scale and Eating Attitudes-40 Scale were applied to the participants. Using the Pearson Correlation, a positive correlation was found between internet addiction and disordered eating attitudes. On the other hand, there was no significant relationship between Body Mass Index and Internet Addiction. In addition, there was a significant difference in scores on the Eating Attitudes scale based on gender. There was a significant difference in scores on Internet Addiction, based on having a personal mobile phone, daily usage of internet, and perception of internet addiction variables. There was no significant difference in scores on Internet Addiction and Eating Attitudes scales based on other sociodemographic variables. This research may help further researchers to understand the relationship between internet addiction and disordered eating attitudes.
