The present work analyses the Mentoring-model of the PiB gGmbH in Bremen for children from the perspective of the Mentors. Focus for the following analysis and interpretation is on: how far the model supports the mentored children and helps the parents, what type of sentiments do the children and parents express and which changes can be observed throughout the duration of the mentoring-program. For this examination three (3) Mentors, organized by the consultants of PiB, were questioned. The collection of data is based on a semi-structured guideline interview. Results were assessed according to Mayring's (2015) qualitative content analysis and show a general satisfaction with the Mentoring-model. Mentors as well as the mentored children and their parents regard the Mentoring-model as a support. The children showed a variety of positive changes during the mentoring. However, this conclusion is deducted from the answers of the interviewed mentors alone, meaning there should be an examination of the perspectives of mentored children and their parents to have a full understanding of the perception and sentiments in regards to the mentoring-model.
