Özet
Bilgi toplumuna geçişle beraber bütün dünyada toplumsal ve ekonomik anlamda büyük değişiklikler yaşanmıştır. Bilgi ve teknolojinin her alanda kullanıldığı günümüzde, entelektüel sermayenin değeri her geçen gün artmaktadır. Bu maddi olmayan varlıklar, firmaların kendilerine katma değer sağlamak için yatırım yaptıkları en önemli unsur haline gelmiştir. Bu durum da firmaların, entelektüel sermayelerini ölçmelerini zorunlu kılmıştır. Entelektüel sermaye değerine bilançodan ulaşmak mümkün değildir, dolayısıyla firmaların gerçek değerlerine ulaşabilmelerinin yolu entelektüel sermaye hesaplama yöntemlerini kullanmalarıdır. Bu çalışmada entelektüel sermayenin firma performanslarına olan etkilerini incelemek amacıyla Borsa İstanbul'da işlem gören sekiz adet turizm şirketlerinin entelektüel sermayeleri hesaplanmıştır. Bunun için kullanıla entelektüel sermaye ölçme yöntemi ise entelektüel sermaye katma değer katsayısı (VAIC) yöntemidir. Firmaların yıllık faaliyet raporlarında yayınladığı veriler kullanılmıştır. Bu verilere“www.kap.gov.tr”adresinden ulaşılmıştır. Ulaşılan veriler sonucunda bağımlı ve bağımsız değişkenlerin entelektüel sermaye katsayılarına olan etkilerini ölçmek amacıyla farklı ortalama sermaye maliyetleri düzeylerinde panel veri analizi yapılmıştır. Bu analizler sonucunda entelektüel sermayenin firma performansına etkisinin pozitif olduğu saptanmıştır.

With the transition to the knowledge based society big changes occured socially and economically accross the world. As information and technology is used in all areas nowadays the intellectual capital goes up day by day. These intangible assets became the most important components which companies invest toprovide added values for themselves. Because of this situation componies had to measure their intellectual capitals. İt is not possible to reach the intellectual capital price through financial accounts, therefore the way to reach the intellectual capital colculation. İn this study to analyze the effect of the intellectual capital on the performance the componies the intellectual capitals of eight tourism componies operand in BIST. Therefore the method used for measuring the measure the effect of dependent and independent variables on intellectual capital has a positive action on the performance of the company.
