Aim: Absolute lymphocyte count (ALC) in peripheral blood has been reported to be an independent prognostic factor in patients with Hodgkin Lymphoma (HL). Likewise, the absolute monocyte count (AMC) has been shown to reflect the state of the tumor microenvironment in lymphomas. In our country, the prognostic value of ALC, AMC, ALC/AMC ratio in patients with HL has not been studied. In our study, we aimed to both provide data about our country and compare the compatibility of our data with the literature. Materials and Methods: In our study, hemogram results at the time of diagnosis were taken as basis. At the time of diagnosis, the prognostic value of ALC, AMC, ALC/AMC ratio was retrospectively analyzed in 112 patients with HL. Results: A total of 112 cases between the ages of 18 and 83, the average age of which was 39.28 ± 15.23 years, were excluding 57 men (51%) and 55 women (49%). The lymphocyte / monocyte ratio (LMR) of female cases was found to be significantly higher than male cases (p = 0.030). The LMR rate of patients with stage I-II was found to be statistically significantly higher than those with stage III-IV (p = 0.005). There was no statistically significant difference between the LMR rates of the patients according to smoking and radiotherapy status (p> 0.05). In the diagnosis, the LMR ratio of the patients with low risk of IPS-3 level was found to be significantly higher than the patients with medium-high risk (p = 0.042). The lymphocyte value of patients with LMR <2.1 was statistically significantly lower than those with LMR> 2.1 (p = 0.001); monocyte value was found to be significantly high (p = 0.001). In the analysis made using log rank test, there was no difference between LMR> 2.1 and <2.1 in terms of 10-year survival. Conclusion: Lymphocyte / monocyte ratio is influenced by many variables such as geographical conditions, ethnic structure, sociocultural habits and behaviors, cigarette consumption. For these reasons, the lymphocyte / monocyte ratio alone is not sufficient to predict the prognosis in HL patients. In order to determine this result more clearly, there is a need for more number of cases and especially prospective studies.
