Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı fen bilgisi öğretmenlerinin çevre bilgi düzeyleri ile çevreye yönelik tutumları ve ortaokul çevre eğitimine yönelik görüşleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektedir. Tarama yöntemiyle gerçekleştirilen araştırma MEB'de görev yapan 50 fen bilgisi öğretmeniyle yürütülmüştür. Veri toplama aracı olarak Altınöz'ün geliştirdiği çevre bilgi testi, Kışoğlu'nun geliştirdiği çevre tutum ölçeği ve araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen ortaokul(5. ,6. ,7. ve 8. sınıf) çevre eğitimine yönelik görüş formu kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama araçları; araştırmaya katılan fen bilgisi öğretmenlerine elektronik ortam olan Google form üzerinden uygulanmıştır. Araştırmacı nicel veri elde edebilmek için fen bilgisi öğretmenlerini çevre bilgi testinden aldıkları puanlara göre iki gruba ayırmıştır. Çevre tutum ölçeği ve ortaokul çevre eğitimine yönelik görüş formu uygulanan fen bilgisi öğretmenlerinin puanları dikkate alınmadan çevre bilgi testine göre ölçekler ikişer gruba ayrılarak SPSS 28.01 paket programıyla analizleri yapılmıştır. Fen bilgisi öğretmenlerinin çevre bilgisi ile çevreye yönelik tutumları ve çevre eğitimine yönelik görüşleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek için bağımsız örneklemler t testi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın ikinci kısmında fen bilgisi öğretmenlerinin ortaokul çevre eğitimine yönelik görüş formundaki sorulara verdikleri cevaplar betimsel analizi yöntemiyle düzenlenmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular fen bilgisi öğretmenlerinin çevre bilgi düzeyleri ile çevreye yönelik tutumları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olmadığını fakat çevre bilgisi ile ortaokul çevre eğitimine yönelik görüşleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ortaokul çevre eğitimine yönelik görüş formu betimsel analizden elde edilen bulgular ise seçmeli olan ortaokul çevre eğitimi dersinin zorunlu ve uygulamalı ders olması gerektiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between science teachers' environmental knowledge levels and their attitudes towards the environment and their views on secondary school environmental education. The research, which was carried out by scanning method, was carried out with 50 science teachers working in the Ministry of National Education. Environmental knowledge test developed by Altınöz, environmental attitude scale developed by Kışoğlu and the opinion form for secondary school (5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade) environmental education developed by the researcher were used as data collection tools. Data collection tools; It was applied to the science teachers participating in the research through the Google form, which is an electronic environment. In order to obtain quantitative data, the researcher divided the science teachers into two groups according to the scores they got from the environmental knowledge test. The scales were divided into two groups according to the environmental knowledge test, and analyzed with the SPSS 28.01 package program, without considering the scores of the science teachers who applied the environmental attitude scale and the opinion form on secondary school environmental education. Independent samples t-test was applied to examine the relationship between science teachers' environmental knowledge, their attitudes towards the environment and their views on environmental education. In the second part of the study, the answers given by the science teachers to the questions in the opinion form about secondary school environmental education were arranged using the descriptive analysis method. The findings obtained in the study revealed that there is no significant relationship between the environmental knowledge levels of science teachers and their attitudes towards the environment, but there is a significant relationship between environmental knowledge and their views on secondary school environmental education. On the other hand, the findings obtained from the descriptive analysis of the opinion form on secondary school environmental education, it was concluded that the secondary school environmental education course, which is optional, should be a compulsory and applied course.
