Sheikh Abd al-Hamid Tahmaz (may God have mercy on him) followed a method of jurisprudence in dealing with the surahs in terms of dividing the surah into units and interpreting each section separately. Sheikh Abd alHamid Tahmaz took care of the objective interpretation and the interpretational jurisprudence that was built on it in the manner of debate, often to show the point of his ijtihad.
