Technology is changing everyday rapidly. These changes reveal the necessity of the education to keep up with it. Especially in vocational and technical education, it becomes more important to follow the innovations. In this manner, this study focus on the technology use of the vocational and technical high schools in Turkey in different manners. In the first place, it is important to understand Turkish educational system and the place of Vocational education in it. Afterwards it has been introduced the current situation and barriers of vocational education. Effective use of technology handled from teacher and students side. It is very important to keep teacher knowledge updated to catch up last changes on technology. Student usage of technology has both negative and positive effect on learning. Technological changes helps the learning being catchy and faster. This study uses a narrative literature review, reinforced with meta‐synthesis to discover: Requirements for regarding the use of technology such as environment, equipments, and knowledge. There are some barriers to meet these requirements like financial inability, inadequate teachers. Suggestion for barriers mentioned in discussion and conclusion parts. The current situation compared with European countries.
