This study aimed to determine the possible relationship between the humor style of Turkish men and the level of sexual satisfaction and self-esteem of their female partners. The participants of the study were 163 Turkish women who were in a heterosexual relationship at that time. Following three scales were used as data collection instruments. Participants' level of self-esteem was measured with the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (Rosenberg, 1965); their level of sexual satisfaction was measured with the New Sexual Satisfaction Scale (Štulhofera, Buškob, and Brouillard, 2010), and their male partners' type of humor was assessed with the Humor Style Questionnaire for Couples (Martin, 2003). According to the results of the study, there was a positive relationship between women' self-esteem and their sexual satisfaction. Additionally, women's sexual satisfaction was predicted by their self-esteem and adaptive humor style of their partners; specifically affiliative humor style. However, maladaptive humor style of men was not associated with the level of self-esteem and sexual satisfaction of their female partners.
