Özet
Sanat eseri üretirken ipliği malzeme olarak seçmek öncelikle sanat ve zanaat konusunu irdelemeyi gerektiriyor. Eylem odaklı bir malzeme iplik. Bu yanıyla ve kökeniyle zanaatı içinde barındırıyor. Gündelik nesnenin sanat nesnesinden ayrıştığı ve de iç içe geçtiği yerden hareketle nasıl sanat olduğu üzerine alıntılar eklenmiş, ilerleyen bölümlerde sanat tarihinde bu malzemeyi kullanan kadınlardan örnekler eklenerek anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. İplik ve üretim deyince aklımıza genelde kadınların gelmesi bir tesadüf değil. Bugün de bu malzemeyi en çok kullananlar onlar. Hem sanat üretiminde hem de çeşitli tasarımlarda. Hikaye ve anlatılara konu olduğu gibi bugün de kendilerini ortaya koymakta yakın hissettikleri bir malzeme belli ki.“Üretim, Kadınlar ve Bugün”başlığı altında, daha kapsamlı bir görüş sunması adına yakın tarihte yapılan atölye ve projelere de yer verildi Eser metninde yer alan sanat tarihi örnekleri 20. yüzyıldan günümüze dek uzanmaktadır. Fiber art'ın 1960'lar sonrasında ivme kazanması ile ipliğin sanat tarihindeki yeri belirlenmeye başlamıştır. Bu süreçte üretimlerime ışık tutan ve hayranlık duyduğum sanatçılar ve eserleri ve bu bağlamda ipliği konu edinen sergiler metinde yer alıyor. Dokumanın metinle olan ilişkisi“Metin / Tekstil”başlığı altında metnin tekstil ile aynı mantıkla ilerlemesi baz alınıyor. Metnin kelimelerle, kumaşın iplikle örülmesi. Kelimelerin düşüncelerimizi, ipliklerin ise kumaşı dokuması. Kelimelerin düşüncelerimizi örerek hayatımızı dokuması. Edebiyattan örneklerle bu konu derinleştirilmiştir. Bu metinde, iplikle bağlantılı olarak sanat ve zanaat tanımlamaları yapılmış, ipliğin metinle olan ve metnin çizgiyle olan form ilişkisi saptanmaya çalışılmış; mitlerden örnekler ile ipliğin insanın varoluşundan bu yana hikayelerde ve anlatılarda nasıl yer edindiğine değinilmiş, kadınlar ve üretimleri, 20. yüzyıldan itibaren sanat tarihinde yer alan iplik formu ile sanat tarihinde gündelik bir malzeme ile açılan yeni perspektif metne dahil edilmiştir. Malzemeyi kullanan sanatçılarla yapılan röportajlara ve konu ile ilişkili güncel sergilere yer verilmiştir. Sonuç bölümünde ise, eser metne başlangıcımdan bu yana malzemeyi nasıl keşfetmeye başladığım ve deneyimlediğim, ipliği çalışmalarıma dahil etme sürecim ve bu süreçte ürettiğim eserlere yer verilmiştir.

Choosing yarn as a material while producing a work of art requires first of all to examine the subject of art and craft. An action-oriented material thread. With this aspect and its origin, it includes the craft. In the following sections, it has been tried to explain by adding examples from women who used this material in the history of art. It is not a coincidence that women usually come to mind when we talk about yarn and production. Today, they are the ones who use this material the most. Both in art production and in various designs. It is obviously a material that they feel close to presenting themselves, as it is the subject of stories and narratives. Recent workshops and projects under the title of“Production, Women and Today”were also included in order to present a more comprehensive view. The examples of art history in the text of the work date back to the 20th century. With the acceleration of fiber art after the 1960s, the place of yarn in the history of art began to be determined. In this process, the artists and their works that shed light on my productions and that I admire, and the exhibitions on thread in this context are included in the text. The relation of the weaving with the text is based on the progress of the text with the same logic as textiles under the title of“Text / Textile”. Knitting the text with words, the fabric with thread. Words weave our thoughts and threads weave fabric. Words weave our thoughts and weave our lives. This subject is deepened with examples from literature. In this text, art and craft definitions were made in connection with the thread, and the form relationship of the thread with the text and the text with the line was tried to be determined; With examples from myths, it is mentioned how thread has taken place in stories and narratives since the existence of man, and women and their production, the thread form that has been in the history of art since the 20th century, and the new perspective opened with a daily material in the history of art are included in the text. Interviews with the artists using the material and current exhibitions related to the subject are included. In the conclusion part, how I started to discover and experience the material since my beginning of the work, my process of incorporating the yarn into my works and the works I produced in this process are given.
