Özet

Dil öğrenmekteki temel amaçlardan bir tanesi iletişime geçebilmektir. Günlük hayatta yazılı iletişimden çok sözlü iletişime ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Yabancı dilde iletişim kurabilmek için bu dili öğrenmekte olan öğrencinin mümkün olduğunca o dile maruz kalması gerekmektedir. Bu sebeple, öğrenilmek istenilen dilde kitap veya dergi okunmalı, radyo dinlenmeli, film izlenmelidir. Ancak takip edilecek yayınların kalitesi dilin öğrenilip kullanılması açısından çok kritik bir yere sahiptir. Bu yüzden takip edilecek yayınların, o dili öğreten öğretmenlerin tavsiyesi üzerine seçilmesi gereklidir. Yabancı dil öğretiminde en sık kullanılan materyallerden bir tanesi de ders kitaplarıdır. Ders kitapları, dersin eğitim ve öğretim programını kapsayacak şekilde hazırlanmış ve dersin özelliğine göre ünite, bölüm, tema ve konular şeklinde ayrılarak oluşturulmuş materyallerdir. Yabancı dil ders kitapları, Avrupa Ortak Başvuru Metni esas alınarak belirli seviyelerde ve o seviyelerin beceri özelliklerine sadık kalarak hazırlanmaktadır. Avrupa Ortak Başvuru Metni yabancı dil seviyelerinde basamaklı bir kur yöntemi önermektedir. Bunlar temel dil kullanımı düzeyinde A1 ve A2 seviyeleri, bağımsız dil kullanımı düzeyinde B1 ve B2 seviyeleri ve yetkin dil kullanımı düzeyinde C1 ve C2 seviyeleri olarak sıralandırılır. Her bir seviye için belirlenmiş olan dinleme, konuşma, okuma ve yazma dil becerileri bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca her bir seviye için uygun dil yeterlilikleri de belirlenmiştir. Dil öğretiminde kullanılan materyallerin amaca uygunluğu çok önemlidir. Dil öğrenimindeki en önemli amaçlardan bir tanesi o dilde iletişime geçebilmektir. Bu sebeple seçilen materyallerde iletişim becerisini geliştiren dinleme ve konuşma gibi etkinlerin çoğunlukta olması oldukça önemlidir. Bu doğrultuda çalışma, yabancı dil öğretmenlerine ders kitabı seçiminde kolaylık sağlamak için Fransız yayınevlerinin hazırlanmış olduğu ders kitaplarının dinleme ve konuşma etkinliklerini incelemeyi ve karşılaştırmayı amaçlamaktadır. Tezin esas amacı, geçmişten günümüze sözlü iletişim kavramını irdelemek ve önemini vurgulamak için seçilen ders kitaplarında yer alan dinleme ve konuşma etkinliklerinin neler olduğunu tespit etmek ve karşılaştırmaktır. Çalışmamızda A1 seviyesinde, çocuklar için hazırlanmış ders kitapları incelenmiştir. Bu kitaplar Hacette yayınevinden Les Loustics 1, Clé International yayınevinden ZigZag+ 1 ve Didier yayınevinden Passe-Passe 1 ders kitaplarıdır. Çalışmamızda farklı yayınevleri tarafından hazırlanmış olan ders kitaplarında yer alan dinleme ve konuşma etkinlikleri ve oranları karşılaştırılarak incelenecektir. Etkinlikler didaktik açıdan incelenerek kitabın yöntemi, seviye ve yaşa uygunluğu tespit edilecek ve işleyişi hakkında bilgiler verilecektir. Çalışmamızda gerçekleştirilecek tarama yöntemi sayesinde, alanında çalışan öğretmenlere hem zaman hem de ekonomik açıdan katkı sağlanması amaçlanmaktadır.

One of the main goals in the language learning process for individuals is to be able to communicate. In the daily life, oral communication is more needed than written communication. In order to communicate in a foreign language, the student learning this language must be exposed to this language as much as possible. In the foreign language learning process, this need can be provided by reading books or magazines, listening the radio, watching movies in the language that individual desire to learn. But the quality of the publications to be followed is very critical in terms of learning and using the language. Therefore, it is necessary that the publications to be followed be selected on the advice of the professional teacher who teaches that language. One of the most commonly used materials in foreign language teaching is the textbooks. Textbooks are the materials that prepared to cover the education and training program of the course and created by dividing them into the units, sections, themes and topics. According to the characteristics of the course, foreign language textbooks are prepared on the basis of The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages at some certain levels to the skill characteristics of those levels. The Common European Framework of Reference proposes a learning ladder process method to the foreign language levels. These are ranked as levels as A1 and A2 at the basic user, levels B1 and B2 at the independent user, and levels C1 and C2 at the proficient user. There are listening, speaking, reading and writing language skills levels set for each level. In addition, appropriate language qualifications have been determined for each level. The purpose of the materials which are used in the language teaching is very important. This is one of the points which is going to covered in this study. One of the most important goals in language learning is to be able to communicate in that language. For this reason, it is very important issue that the selected materials have the majority of activities such as listening and speaking that improve communication skills. In this direction, this study aims to compare and examine the listening and speaking activities of textbooks prepared by French Publishers in order to facilitate the choice of textbooks for Foreign Language teachers. The main purpose of the thesis is to determine and compare the listening and speaking activities in the selected textbooks in order to examine the concept of oral communication from past to present and to emphasize its importance. In our study, textbooks prepared for children at A1 level were examined. These books are Les Loustics 1 from Hacette publishing, ZigZag+1 from Clé International publishing and Passe-Passe 1 from Didier publishing. Both the amount of the listening and speaking activities in the books to be examined in the study and the rate of speech activities in the books prepared by different publishing houses will be compared with each other. By doing a didactic examination of the activities, the book's method, level, age and content suitability will be measured. Information about the functioning of activities will be given. Thanks to the screening method that will be performed in this study, it is aimed to help for both time and economically to the teachers which are working in the field.
