Özet
Günümüzde İzmir İli, Seferihisar İlçesi, Sığacık Mahallesi'nde yer alan Teos Antik Kenti'nde bilimsel araştırma, belgeleme, kazı, koruma ve onarım çalışmaları, 2010 yılından itibaren Prof. Dr. Musa Kadıoğlu başkanlığında yürütülmektedir. Kazı çalışmalarından ele geçmiş MÖ 8. yüzyıl sonu ile MÖ. 6. yüzyılın ilk yarısına tarihlenen kotyle ve skyphos parçaları bu tezin konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Değerlendirilen kâse parçaları tipolojik özelliklerine göre sınıflandırılarak, İonia Bölgesi'nde yer alan diğer kentlerdeki benzer örnekler ile karşılaştırılmış ve tarihlendirilmiştir. MÖ 8. yüzyılın sonlarından MÖ 6. yüzyılın ortalarına kadar uzanan dönemde arkeometrik analizler ile kanıtlanmış bir seramik üretim merkezi olan Teos bölgesel ve denizaşırı ticarette etkin bir rol oynamıştır. Bu çalışma ile geniş bir alana ihraç edilen Teos kâselerinden bu güne kadar yapılan çalışmalarda ele geçen örneklerin bir araya getirilmesi, ileride konu ile ilgili yapılabilecek çalışmalara bir zemin oluşturması sağlanmıştır. Söz konusu örneklerde standart bezeme anlayışının dışına çıkılmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Bugüne kadar farklı merkezlerden ele geçen Teos kâselerinden farklı olan gri hamurlu kotylelerin de üretim yerinin Teos olduğu düşünülmüştür.

Today, scientific research, documentation, excavation, conservation and repair works in the ancient city of Teos, located in the İzmir province, Seferihisar district, Sığacık neighbourhood have been carried out under the presidency of Prof. Dr. Musa Kadıoğlu. Kotyle and skyphos fragments dating from the end of the 8th century BC and the first half of the 6th century BC, which were recovered from the excavations, constitute the subject of this thesis. Evaluated bowl fragments were classified according to their typological characteristics, compared and dated with similar samples in other cities in the Ionia Region. From the end of the 8th century BC to the middle of the 6th century BC, Teos was a ceramic production center proven by archeometric analysis, played an active role in regional and overseas trade. With this study, the samples obtained from the Teos bowls, which were exported to a wide area, have been brought together and provided a basis for future studies on the subject. It has been determined that the examples in question do not go beyond the standart understanding of decoration. It is thought that the production place of the gray clay kotyle which are different from the Teos bowls that have been recovered from different centers until today, is Teos.
