Özet
Bir dilin söz varlığını sadece o dilin sözcükleri değil; deyim, kalıp söz, atasözü, terim ve çeşitli anlatım kalıpları da oluşturmaktadır. Bireylerin etkili, güzel ve doğru bir şekilde dili kullanabilmeleri sahip oldukları söz varlığı ile doğru orantılıdır. Deyimlerin çeviri yolu ile başka dillere aktarılamaması ve anlaşılmasında kelime bilgisinin yeterli olmaması hedef dili öğrenen bireyler açısından zorluk oluşturmaktadır. Buna göre deyimlerin öğretiminde kelime öğretiminde olduğu gibi çeşitli stratejilere yer verilmesi gerekmektedir. Yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretimi alanında, deyimlerin hangi yöntem ve teknikle daha iyi öğretilebileceği, bu yöntem ve tekniklerin hangi materyallerle desteklenebileceği üzerinde durulması gereken konulardan biridir. Buradan hareketle bu çalışmada, yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretimi alanında deyim öğretiminde kullanılan materyalleri tamamlayıcı, yeni ve kullanışlı bir GIF materyali üretmek amaçlanmıştır. GIF'lerin birçok kişinin yabancı olmadığı sosyal medya ve haberleşme kanalları üzerinden sözsüz bir iletişim aracı olarak kullanıldığı bilinmektedir. Deyimlerde verilmek istenen mesajın GIF'ler aracılığıyla sözsüz bir şekilde alıcıya ulaştırılabileceğinin öngörülmesi sonucunda bu çalışma hazırlanmıştır. Çalışmada GIF materyalleri aracılığıyla deyimlerin kalıcı bir şekilde öğretimi hedeflenmiş ve bu hedef kapsamında Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf Üniversitesi TÜMER'de yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenen B1 düzeyindeki 16 öğrenciye öntest ve sontest uygulanmıştır. Uygulamada kullanılmak üzere araştırmacı tarafından B1 düzeyine uygun iki metin yazılmıştır. Metinlerin içerisine kazandırılması hedeflenen 21 deyim yerleştirilmiş ve deyimleri içeren 20 soru hazırlanarak öntest ve sontest sürecinde aynı öğrenci grubuna uygulanmıştır. Öğrencilere, GIF ile deyim öğretimi sürecinden hemen önce öntest, süreçten 3 gün sonra ise sontest uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada tek gruplu öntest-sontest deseni uygulanmıştır. Öğrencilerin öntest-sontest puanları ve puanlar arasındaki farklılıklar SPSS programı aracılığla incelenmiştir. Ayrıca öntest, deyim öğretimi ve son test süreçleri konusunda öğrencilerin görüşleri alınarak sürecin öğrenciler tarafından da değerlendirilmesi sağlanmıştır.

The vocabulary of a language does not only consist of the words of that language; It also consists of idioms, idioms, proverbs, terms and various expression patterns. The ability of individuals to use language effectively, beautifully and correctly is directly proportional to the vocabulary they have. The inability to transfer idioms to other languages through translation and the lack of sufficient vocabulary to be understood them creates difficulties for individuals who learn a second language. Accordingly, various strategies should be included in the teaching of idioms, as in vocabulary teaching. In the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language, it is one of the issues that should be emphasized with which method and technique can be taught better and with which materials these methods and techniques can be supported. From this point of view, in this study, it is aimed to produce a new and useful GIF material that complements the materials used in teaching idioms in the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language. It is known that GIFs are used as a nonverbal communication tool in social media and communication channels that many people are familiar with. This study has been prepared as a result of the prediction that the message intended to be given in idioms can be conveyed nonverbally through GIFs. In the study, it was aimed to teach idioms permanently through GIF materials and within the scope of this aim, pretest and posttest were applied to 16 students at B1 level who were learning Turkish as a foreign language at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University TÜMER. Two texts suitable for B1 level were written by the researcher to be used in the study. 21 idioms that were aimed to be earned in the texts were included and 20 questions containing the idioms were prepared and applied to the same student group during the pretest and posttest process. The students were given a pretest just before the process of teaching idioms with GIF, and a posttest 3 days after the process. A single group pretest-posttest design was used in the study. The pretest-posttest scores of the students and the differences between the scores were examined through the SPSS program. Additionlly the opinions of students on the pretest, idiom teaching and posttest processes were taken and the process was evaluated by the students too.
