Özet
Giriş: Emzirmenin anne ve çocuk sağlığı üzerinde kanıtlanmış birçok yararı bulunmaktadır. Emzirmenin sürdürülmesinde emzirme desteği önemlidir. Bu kapsamında birçok yenilikçi yaklaşım bulunmaktadır. Bu yenilikçi yaklaşımlardan biri de mobil sağlık uygulamalarıdır. Bu uygulamaların her an her yerde, anne ve bebeğe sürdürülebilir emzirme desteği sağlamada etkili bir yol olacağı düşünülmektedir. Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı mobil uygulama temelli emzirme eğitimi programının (MUTEP) geliştirilmesi ve etkinliğinin değerlendirilmesidir. Yöntem: Randomize kontrollü deneysel araştırma tipinde olan bu çalışma Eylül 2020 - Eylül 2022 tarihleri arasında 73 primipar anne ile yürütüldü. MUTEP grubundaki anneler postpartum birinci gün mobil uygulama temelli emzirme eğitimi programına dahil edilirken kontrol grubundaki anneler rutin hemşirelik bakımı aldı. Verilerin toplanmasında postpartum birinci günde Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Emzirme Değerlendirme Ölçeği (EDÖ) ve Emzirme Sorunlarını Değerlendirme Ölçeği (ESDÖ) kullanıldı. İlk ve ikinci izlemde ESDÖ, Emzirme İzlem Formu, Bebeğin Fiziksel Gelişimi İzlem Formu uygulandı. İkinci izlemde MUTEP grubuna ek olarak Mobil Uygulama Değerlendirme Formu uygulandı. Bulgular: Postpartum birinci gün MUTEP ve kontrol grubu arasında EDÖ puan ortalamalarında anlamlı fark bulunmadı. İlk ve ikinci izlemde MUTEP grubunda kontrol grubuna göre sadece anne sütü ile besleme oranı daha yüksek, emzirme sorunu yaşama oranı daha düşük bulundu. Postpartum birinci günde ESDÖ puan ortalaması MUTEP grubunda kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı derecede yüksek iken ikinci izlemde anlamlı derecede düşük bulundu. Sonuçlar: Mobil uygulama temelli emzirme eğitimi programının annelerin daha az emzirme sorunu yaşamalarına, daha yüksek oranda sadece anne sütü ile beslemelerine katkı sağladığı bulundu.

Introduction: Breastfeeding has many proven benefits on maternal and child health. Breastfeeding support is important in maintaining breastfeeding. There are many innovative approaches within this scope. One of these innovative approaches is mobile health applications. It is thought that these practices will be an effective way to provide sustainable breastfeeding support to mother and baby anytime, anywhere. Aim: The aim of this study is to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the mobile application based breastfeeding education program (MABEP). Method: This study, which is a randomized controlled experimental study, was conducted with 73 primiparous mothers between September 2020 and Semptember 2022. While the mothers in the MUTEP group were included in the postpartum first day mobile application-based breastfeeding education program, the mothers in the control group received routine nursing care. Personal Information Form, Breastfeeding Evaluation Scale and Breastfeeding Experience Scale were used to collect data on the first day postpartum. In the first and second follow-ups, Breastfeeding Experience Scale, Breastfeeding Follow-up Form, and Baby's Physical Development Follow-up Form were applied. In the second follow-up, the Mobile Application Evaluation Form was applied in addition to the MABEP group. Results: There was no significant difference in the mean Breastfeeding Evaluation Scale scores between the postpartum first day MABEP and control groups. In the first and second follow-ups, the rate of exclusive breastfeeding was found to be higher in the MABEP group compared to the control group, and the rate of breastfeeding problems was found to be lower. While the mean Breastfeeding Experience Scale score on the first postpartum day was significantly higher in the MABEP group than in the control group, it was found to be significantly lower in the second follow-up. Conclusions: It was found that the mobile application-based breastfeeding education program contributed to mothers having fewer breastfeeding problems and feeding them exclusively with breast milk at a higher rate.
