Özet
Bu araştırmada, koro eğitimine dayalı etkinliklerin, 6. Sınıf öğrencilerinin özgüven ve utangaçlık düzeylerine etkisinin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, öntest- sontest eşleştirilmiş kontrol gruplu desen temel alınarak yürütülmüştür. Çalışma grubunu, Malatya ilindeki Sümer Ortaokulu'nun 6. Sınıf öğrencileri (n=62) oluşturmuştur. Deney grubu öğrencilerine (n=31) 10 hafta boyunca uzman görüşleri doğrultusunda hazırlanan Koro Eğitimi programı uygulanmıştır. Kontrol grubu ise bu programa dâhil edilmemiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak özgüven ve utangaçlık ölçekleri kullanılmıştır. Analizler, SPSS 23.0 programı kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Veriler normal dağılım gösterdiği için parametrik testler uygulanmıştır. Kontrol ve deney gruplarının ön test ve son test puanlarının karşılaştırmasında ilişkili örneklemler t-testi, son test puanlarındaki farklılıkların tespiti için ise ilişkisiz örneklemler t-testi yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucuna göre koro eğitimi etkinliklerinin, öğrencilerin utangaçlık ve özgüvenlerinde anlamlı düzeyde farklılık oluşturmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Bununla beraber deney grubunun kontrol grubuna göre özgüven ve iç özgüven sontest puanları arasında deney gurubu lehine anlamlı farklılık olduğu görülmüştür.

In this study, it was aimed to determine the effects of choral education-based activities on the self-confidence and shyness levels of 6th grade students. The research was carried out based on the matching-only pretest-posttest control group design. The study group consisted of 6th grade students (n=62) of Sümer Secondary School in Malatya. Choir Education program, which was prepared in line with expert opinions, was applied to the experimental group students (n=31) for 10 weeks. The control group, on the other hand, was not included in this program. Self-confidence and shyness scales were used as data collection tools. Analyses were performed using SPSS 23.0 program. Parametric tests were applied because the data showed normal distribution. The paired-samples t-test was used to compare the pre-test and post-test scores of the control and experimental groups, and the independent-samples t-test was used to determine the differences in the post-test scores. According to the results of the research, it was determined that the choral education activities did not make a significant difference in the shyness and self-confidence of the students. However, there was a significant difference between the self-confidence and inner self-confidence post-test scores of the experimental group compared to the control group, in favour of the experimental group.
