Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı 4Mat öğrenme stillerine uygun olarak yürütülen öğretim sürecinin öğrencilerin derslerdeki akademik başarı ve tutumuna etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırmada meta analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Meta analiz için CMA programı kullanılarak başarı ve tutum için etki büyüklükleri hesaplanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi, 1980-2021 yılları arasında yapılmış olan ve en az bir deney bir kontrol grubuna sahip nicel çalışmalardan oluşmaktadır. Önceden belirlenmiş ölçütlere göre yapılan değerlendirmeler doğrultusunda 31 çalışma araştırmaya dahil edilmiştir. Yapılan homojenlik testi sonucuna bağlı olarak çalışma rastgele etkiler modeline göre değerlendirilmiştir. Yayın yanlılığı belirleme türleri ve değerlendirme yöntemleri ile yayın yanlılığı olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmaya dahil edilen çalışmaların genel, akademik başarı ve tutum etki büyüklüğünün yanı sıra öğretim kademesi, uygulama süresi ve yayın türlerine göre moderatör analizleri yapılmıştır. Analiz sonuçları, Hedge g değerine bakılarak Cohen'in sınıflanmasına göre değerlendirilmiştir. Meta analiz araştırması sonucunda 4Mat öğrenme stilinin akademik başarıya yüksek, tutuma ise orta düzeyde etkisi olduğu görülmüştür. Bu bulgulara göre 4Mat öğrenme stilinin eğitim-öğretim alanında etkili bir öğretim yöntemi olduğu sonucuna varılmış ve farklı öğretim kademelerinde kullanılmasının artırılması önerilmiştir.

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the teaching process carried out in accordance with 4Mat learning styles on the academic success and attitude of the students in the lessons. Meta analysis method was used in the research. Effect sizes for achievement and attitude were calculated using the CMA program for meta-analysis. The sample of the study consists of quantitative studies conducted between 1980-2021 with at least one experimental and control group. In line with the evaluations made according to predetermined criteria, 31 studies were included in the study. Based on the results of the homogeneity test, the study was evaluated according to the random effects model. It has been determined that there is no publication bias with the types of publication bias determination and evaluation methods. In addition to the general, academic achievement and attitude effect sizes of the studies included in the research, moderator analyzes were made according to the level of education, duration of application and publication types. Analysis results were evaluated according to Cohen's classification by looking at the Hedge g value. As a result of the meta-analysis research, it was seen that 4Mat learning style had a high effect on academic achievement and a moderate effect on attitude. According to these findings, it was concluded that the 4Mat learning style is an effective teaching method in the field of education and it was recommended to increase its use in different teaching levels.
