Özet
Bu çalışma, erken Cumhuriyet döneminde sağlık politikaları ve hıfzıssıhha söyleminde kadınların konumlanışı ve dönem boyunca iktidarın merkezi teknolojilerinden olan tıp biliminin, sağlık ve ahlak kavramları aracılığıyla hayatın her alanına nüfuz etme şeklini dönemin sağlık üzerine yazılmış popüler kültür metinleri üzerinden incelemektedir. Çalışmada biyopolitika, anatomopolitika, thanatopolitika, duygulanım, sağlam bedenlilik gibi kavramların erken Cumhuriyet dönemindeki yansıması sıhhi popüler kültür metinleri üzerinden incelenmiş ve cinsiyetli bedenlerin kurgulanış şeklinin hangi imgeler, duygulanımlar üzerinden şekillendiği tarihsel ve kuramsal arka planla birlikte değerlendirilmiştir. Uzun süren bir savaş döneminden yeni yeni çıkmakta olan dönemin yönetici kadroları ve entelektüelleri özellikle nüfusun nitelik ve nicelik açısından ıslah edilmesini temel amaçları olarak benimsemiş; nüfus ve beden iktidarın nesnesi haline gelmiştir. Doğru, uygun ve makbul kavramları iktidarın tahayyülündeki bireyi topluma benimsetmek ve kimi zaman özgürlüğü kısıtlayıcı uygulamaları meşrulaştırmak için kullanılmıştır. Makbul vatandaş kategorisinin inşasında özellikle sağlık ve cinsellik önemli bir rol oynamıştır. Kadınların biyolojik ve ideolojik işlevleri yeni ulusun inşasında özellikle merkezi konumda olmalarına yol açmıştır. Bu amaçla dönemin patrimonyal, didaktik ve öğüt verici metinlerinde zührevi hastalıklar, ahlak, cinsellik ve sağlık kavramları öne çıkarılarak bedenlerin ve zihinlerin kurgulanması için kullanılmıştır.

This study aims to examine the positioning of women in health policies and the discourse of sanitation in the early Republican period, and the way in which medicine one of the central technologies of power throughout the period, penetrated all areas of life with the concepts of health / morality, through the popular culture texts of the period. In the study, the reflection of concepts such as biopolitics, anatomopolitics, thanatopolitics, affect, and the ideology of able-bodiedness is examined within the scope of the early Republican period through popular culture texts which focuses on health education and able-bodiedness, and the images and affects used in the construction of gendered bodies is evaluated together with the historical and theoretical background. The administrative kadres and intellectuals of the era, who were just beginning to overcome the effects of a long period of war, adopted the improvement of the population in terms of quality and quantity as their main objective, centering the population and body as the object of power. The concepts of right, adequate, acceptable and the figure of perfect were used to make individuals adopt the so-called perfect in the imagination of the government and to legitimize the practices that restrict freedom. To this end especially health and sexuality, the medicalization of the body by medical discourse, played an important role in the construction of the perfect citizen figure. Biological and ideological functions of these categories constructed women as both the subject and object of the relations of power. For this purpose, the concepts of venereal diseases, morality, sexuality, and health were emphasized in the patrimonial, didactic, and advisory texts of the period and used to govern bodies and minds.
