Özet
The objective of this study was to determine inbreeding effect on milk yield, milk fat, milk protein, lactation length, ages at first calving and survival of calf at birth and within 12 months after birth in Dutch Holsteins. In milk traits analyses inbreeding and first calving age (FCA) was included as continuous variables in a linear mixed model. The model involved fixed effects of inbreeding, FCA, year-month of calving and random effects of herd-year of calving, additive genetic, and residual effects. The effects of maternal inbreeding and calf inbreeding on livability traits and vitality traits were analyzed as continuous variable in a generalized linear mixed model. The fixed effects of maternal and calf inbreeding and random effects of herd-year-season, sire, maternal grandsire and residual were included in the model for livability traits. The model for vitality traits involved fixed effects of calf inbreeding, and random effects of herd-year-season, sire, maternal grandsire, and residual. In survival analyses parity 4 and parities above four grouped together and first, second, third and fourth parity were analyzed separately. Inbreeding had a deleterious effect on most of the examined milk traits. The effects of inbreeding were - 17.93 (0.39) kg, -0.98 (0.01) kg, -0.68 (0.01) kg, and 0.41 (0.02) kg for milk, fat, protein and lactation length respectively. Age at calving was not changed significantly for the increase of inbreeding level. Calf inbreeding had a negative effect on the probability of livability in first parity (0.08%), while had positive effect in second (0.06%), third (0.08%) and fourth (0.11%) parity. For one unit increase in maternal inbreeding resulted in 0.11%, 0.08%, 0.11%, 0.08% lower incidence in livability. The calf inbreeding had an adverse effect on the vitality incidence and effect was differed by parity. the increase of one unit inbreeding level decreased the probability of vitality by -0.31%, -0.29%, -0.31% and -0.27% in parity 1,2,3, and 4 respectively.
