Özet

Bu tezin genel amacı, özel eğitim meslek okulundaki meslek eğitimi öğretmenlerine verilen, Kurallara Uymayı Kazandırma Hizmet İçi Eğitim Programının, öğretmenlerin kural kazandırma becerilerini artırmalarına yol açıp açmadığını ve sürekliliğe olan etkilerini belirlemektir. Buna bağlı olarak, programa katılan öğretmenlerin yaptıkları uygulamaların, hafif düzey otizm spektrum bozukluğu olan öğrencilerinin kurallara uygun davranışlarının artmasına ve kurallara uygun olmayan davranışlarının azalmasına yol açıp açmadığını ve sürekliliğe olan etkilerini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın medeli, tek denekli araştırma modellerinden Katılımcılar Arası Çoklu Yoklama Modelidir. Bu araştırmanın katılımcılarını, İstanbul ili Ataşehir ilçesinde bulunan bir Özel Eğitim Meslek Okulunda görev yapan üç asıl ve bir yedek olmak üzere dört meslek eğitimi öğretmeni ve katılımcı öğretmenlerin hali hazırda öğrencileri olan hafif düzey otizm spektrum bozukluğu olan üç asıl ve bir yedek olmak üzere dört özel eğitim meslek okulu öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada problem davranışların belirlenmesine yönelik Öğretmen Görüşme Formu uygulanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin pekiştirme ve görmezden gelme davranışlarını kayıt etmede öğretmen kontrol listesi, öğrencilerin kurala uygun olan ve kurala uygun olmayan davranışlarını kayıt etmede ise kısmi zaman örneklemi kayıt formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında video kamera kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca uygulama güvenirliği formu geliştirilmiş ve uygulanmıştır. Kurallara Uymayı Kazandırma Hizmet İçi Eğitim Programının öğretim planlarının uygulanmasına ilişkin hazırlanan öğretim materyalleri araştırmacı tarafından uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada toplanan veriler grafiksel analiz ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre; Kurallara Uymayı Kazandırma Hizmet İçi Eğitim Programının, özel eğitim meslek okulunda görev yapan meslek eğitimi öğretmenlerinin, kural belirleme ve belirledikleri kuralları etkinlik öncesinde sunma; hafif düzey otizm spektrum bozukluğu olan öğrencilerinin belirlenen kurala uygun davranışlarını anında ve betimleyerek pekiştirme, belirlenen kurala uygun olmayan davranışlarını ise görmezden gelme davranışlarının artmasına; uygulamayı takip eden birinci ve ikinci haftalarda da bu davranışları sürdürmelerine yol açtığı izlenimi edinilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan, özel eğitim meslek okulunda görev yapan meslek eğitimi öğretmenlerinin, hafif düzey otizm spektrum bozukluğu olan öğrencilerinin, belirlenen kurala uygun olan davranışlarının arttığı, belirlenen kurala uygun olmayan davranışlarının ise azaldığı; uygulamayı takip eden birinci ve ikinci haftalarda da kurala uygun davranışları sürdürdükleri izlenimi edinilmiştir. The general purpose of this graduate thesis is to determine whether InService Training Program on ensuring students' compliance with the rules enhances the vocational education teachers' approach towards students in the special education vocational schools, teacher's determination and introduction of the rules before the classroom activity, besides reinforcing their students' behavioural patterns fall in line with the rules and ignoring other behaviors that do not comply with the rules. The aim of this study is to illustrate 1) these implementations of In-Service Training Program lead to an upgrade or a downgrade in the behavior of students with mild autism spectrum disorder that do not comply with the rules and 2) how In-Service Training Program affects students' continuity of compliancy with the rules. The research method used for the study is a multiple-baseline design, which is one of the single-case research methods. The participants of the study are three primary and one substitute vocational education teachers working in a Special Education Vocational School in Ataşehir, a district of Istanbul; and four students who are currently the students of the participant teachers, three primary and one substitute with mild autism spectrum disorder. In this study, the teacher interview form is used to determine the problem behaviors. Teacher checklist is also used to record teachers' reinforcement and ignoration of the student's behaviour. With the usage of partial interval recording method, student behaviors which comply with the rules or not comply with the rules are recorded. In the collection of the research data, a video camera is used. Additionally, the application reliability form is developed and used effectively during the research. Teaching materials are prepared according to the implementation of the teaching plans of In-Service Training Program for ensuring compliance with the rules. All teaching materials are applied by the researcher. Graphical analysis is applied to the data obtained from this study. According to the research findings: With the in-service training program for ensuring compliance with the rules, vocational education teachers working in special education vocational school determined the rules and introduced them to the students before the activity started; showed immediate and descriptive reinforcement to the student behaviors in accordance with the determined rules while they ignored the student behaviors that do not comply with the determined rules; this led improvement in teachers' approach towards students to ensure compliance with the rules. In the first and second weeks following the study, the continuation of the same behaviours have been observed. After the in-service training program, it is found that there is an improvement in the behaviour of the students with mild autism spectrum disorder who comply with the determined rule and behaviors that do not comply with the determined rule decreases at the same time. It was observed that students with mild autism spectrum disorder continued to behave in accordance with the determined rule the following days.
