Özet

ÖZET Bu araştırmada Dersane Deneme Sınavları (DDS) île Öğrenci Seçme Sınavı (ÖSS) ve öğrenci Yerleştirme Sınavı (ÖYS) arasındaki ilişkiye bakılmış, Dersane Deneme Sınavlarının yordama güçleri araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın ilk adımı olarak örnekleme alınacak dersaneler random olarak seçilmiş ve analizlerin yürütüleceği dersane öğrencileri yine random olarak belirlenmiştir. Ardından, seçilen öğrencilere ait DDS ağırlıklı puanlan toplanmış ve aynı öğrencilerin ÖSS ve ÖYS sonuçları internetteki ÖSYM WEB sayfasından alınmıştır. Elde edilen veriler bilgisayar ortamına aktarılmış, düzenlenerek analizler için hazır hale getirilmiştir. Bu aşamada SPSS 7.51 for Windows paket programı kullanılarak basit doğrusal regresyon analizleri tamamlanmıştır. Analizler sonucunda, DDS'nın ağırlıklı puanlanyla ÖSS ve ÖYS'nın ağırlıklı puanları arasında kurulan tüm denklemlerin uygun ve doğrusal olduğu görülmüştür. DDS'nın ağırlıklı puanlanyla ÖSS ve ÖYS'nın ağırlıklı puanlan arasında hesaplanan korelasyonların, F istatistiklerinin, t istatistiklerinin ot=.01 düzeyinde manidar olduğu görülmüştür. DDS'nin ÖSS'yi yordama gücü en düşük sözel ağırlıklı puanlar için olmak üzere.79 en yüksek sayısal ağırlıklı puanlar için olmak üzere.93 olarak bulunmuştur. DDS'nin ÖYS'yi yordama gücü en düşük Türkçe - sosyal ağırlıklı puanlar için olmak üzere.72, en yüksek matematik ağırlıklı puanlar için olmak üzere.90 olarak bulunmuştur. DDS'nın ağırlıklı puanlarının ÖSS ve ÖYS'nın ağırlıklı puanlarım yordama güçlerinin yüksek olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

m SUMMARY In the present study, the relationship between Student Selection Examination (SSE), Student Placement Examination (SPE) and Trial Examinations of Specialized Courses (TESC) was examined, and the predictive power of TESC was investigated. In the firs step of study the specialized courses that would be included in the sample were selected randomly and the students included in the study were also determined randomly. Then, the weighted TESC grade points of the selected students were gathered and the SSE and SPE results of the same students were taken from the Student Selection and Placement Centre (SSPC) WEB site. The data were processed by the computer. In this stage, Statistical Packages for the Social Sciences (SPSS) 7.51 for Windows software was used for the Linear Regression Analysis. At the end of the analysis, it was observed that all of the equations proposed between the weighted SSE, SPE and TESC points were appropriated and linear. The correlations, F-test and t statistics between the weighted grade points of SSE, SPE and TESC were found statistically significant at the a=.01 level The lowest predictive power of the weighted grade points of TESC for SSE was found.79 for weighted grade points of verbal and the highest was found.93 for weighted grade points of numerical The lowest predictive power of weighted grade points of TESC for SPE was found.72 for weighted grade points of Turkish-social and the highest was found.90 for weigted grade points of mathematics. As a result of this findings, it was deduced that weighted grade points of TESC predict weighted grade points of SSE and SPE in an important extend.
